wayne
guy does write some damn good bass lines - some of them are v simple yet effective and others could stand out on there own. for me, the bass lines to clocks, yellow and the scientist, for example, fall into the first category and others, such as shiver, everything's not lost and trouble fall into the latter. being a drummer, i'm happy with either form of bass line just as long as it's played solid and has feeling to it, but i have a preference for bass lines with more complex patterns to them. and such chin-stroking ramblings lead me to my top three (in no particular order) :- daylight sparks trouble (can't believe no-ones mentioned this one yet !) with special mentions to :- shiver everything's not lost

Martin04
the bass line in GPASUYF really fires the song along... I love the notes guy plays in politik although few people would mention that song... finally, everythings not lost.
gentleparachute
Don't play guitar or bass, but my choices would be Don't Panic the Nappies (strictly speaking, not a guitar line, but who cares :P) Talk These are the 3 that grab your attention...
