Yes, I agree it seems almost like a blatant rip off from MX concerning the jacket, the circle structures, the patches, and even the GS Love Button is still there ! Dislike :thumbsdown: Graffiti is probably being replaced by Holi-style throwing of colour bags, but that's about it.

I don't like option 1 because it definitely gives too much weight to a single person's vote (in this case mayrn, who has been voting AROBTTH for as long as I can remember...) If we declare them joint winners, it would be nice to see how they will fare in the final all-winners' elimination round. And don't worry about ties there, by then the voring population will surely have fluctuated :)

By the way, remember that LAMHEIN has been around for ages ! It is supposedly an Indian song sampling stuff from MX, so nothing to get excited about. As for Brian Eno, I can't see any source for the statement he is back for this Era, other than the totally misinterpreted Lamnhein song. So I'd say that's probably not going to be true.

When I saw the thread had exploded like that and there was a special "A Head full of dreams link" below, I was sure there had been an anouncement. Checked Coldplay FB, nothing. Clicked on the link and saw that picture of Chris and thought oh NOOOOOO, MY all over again ! And that font ! Please tell me that's not happening. I'd hope for a studoi release of the new song probably due on 18th of September before the performance, because I don't wanna hear a live version first since I'm sure the studio version will be better. But I admit it's unlikely this is gonna happen. And after that U2 thing got such bad publicity, I believe both Apple and any other huge band will steer well clear of that kind of thing ;)

Yeah, I'm not saying he got entirely carried away by Hollywood/GP/fortune/celeb lifestyle but you really can sense he is not the old spontaneous awkward Chris anymore... Overall, I think the marriage to someone superficial like GP was not good for him.

As for the neighbours, how many takes do you usually make ? Or do you do just one ? Two or three "loud" takes in the early afternoon surely won't hurt anyone (if it's not "loud" as in "concert front row" loud ;)

As expected, the showdown between two masterpieces of Coldplay history and imho of music history. (Interesting fact, I actually like the studio versions of both songs more than the live ones.) Both of them far too little known outside of fandom. I truly love both of them, but the lyrics in AROBTTH are one of the best, if not the best Coldplay has ever written, not to speak of the . You can sense that feeling of revenge and redemption and at the same doubt, hesitation and desperation as it consumes the lyrical I, you can literally feel the house burn in that orange glow (hearing sirens thanks to Jonny's amazing guitar) and his love sitting down and wondering why. The best lines, in my opinion: "I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war, if you can tell me something wirth fighting for", as it is intonated just before the second chorus, is, at least to my ears, probably one of the most haunting pleas questioning the sense of bloodshed in any way. Also, in the beginning, "He said I'm gonna buy this place and see it burn, and do back the things it did to you in return" is a very poetic line capturing that emotion of fury and redemption towards a loved one having been hurt which is we all have felt or will feel at some point. The underlying guitar line and instrumentation add to the emotional density. I don't know what to say, AROBTTH is a pure masterpiece of sound and lyrics. Please close your eyes, give it another listen and let yourself be absorbed by the music before you cast your vote. Politik is still a great, great song but has less to offer lyrically, and though it does a good job at conveying emotions, it feels a little less intense than AROBTTH. So I vote for Politik to be eliminated and I ask all AROBTTH fans and to come out and vote !
