Just came home and wanted to upload the pics I managed to take today from said article, but saw that coldplaykb has already done it. Anyway ! Now you have Proof (lol) that all I said was true :laugh3: :D And it's really annoying that people troll around either making stuff up or reiterating stuff that is super vague and that everone already knows and try to sell it as sth new. Even more annoying that people fall for these "insider" announcements over and over again. Coldplay will announce stuff officially and not via a representative and a random Coldplaying fan or Twitter user.

Both in this thread and in the "War of the Coldplay songs" where you also posted, you need to connect your post to the one before. You have to choose one of the 2 named songs, not a random one, and then pitch it against another song.

I'm sorry I have to disagree there, but the person singing the main vocals on first verse and chorus + the second chorus and the words "true believer" as well as backing vocals at the end clearly is Chris. Even though the voice is distorted, you can clearly hear it's him from the sound, the undertones and dynamics of his voice.

It was in a part of the city where I don't usually go to, I had to buy something today in a certain shop so I happened to be there. But yeah, I'll try to fit it in tmr to go back, if only to get Proof (lol). Let's just hope that thing hasn't been sold out in the meantime, or everybody here is going to think I was lying (at least until everyone gets hold of their own copy, at which point you'll see that everything I reported was true...) :)

Anyone else think it funny that Chris, of all people, sings the line "I might not have been the tallest" :D :P

I was not expecting anything because I just heard of it for the first time and listened to it immediately afterwards. And as I said, its not my genre and I somewhat think it weird for Chris to be always featuring on this kind of songs, but for its genre it's a pretty good song. At least the first half where Chris is doing the complete vocals.

After a few listens I have to change my initial opinion a little bit. Yeah, it's still a terrible song in terms of to what Chris lends his vocals again (poor and superficial lyrics, synthetic sound and well Avicii-Sound)...what I wanna say is, a terrible song to someone whose taste in music is very Oldplayish. But both in terms of all Avicii songs and generally, EDM songs I've heard, it is actually a rather good one ! Very catchy tune. The end of the song is not that great though. I wish it had Chris throughout on main vocals, it would have been better then.

I swear to you I saw a magazine with exactly that cover in the thread !! Coldplay on the right top corner, and that muscular black guy in the front. Here at a newspaper stand in a fairly large US East Coast city. Don't magazines often pre-date their issues ? Tbh I payed no attention to the date. I didn't make a photo because I didn't want the vendor to kick me out, since I was already reading it and had no intention to buy it. I might be abe to go back tmr, if I find the time and try to take a pic this time. I'll tell you some details so you will be able to eventually verify. There was a small paragraph about Coldplay amongst a lot of other to-be-released albums. The paragraph began on the left-hand page and spread to the beginning of the right-hand page. A picture of Chris was on top of the left-hand page. I noticed the album in the paragraph before Coldplay had "September 2015" written as release date, but for Coldplay it said "tbd 2015". Somewhere on the left-hand page I also noticed a pic of David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, by the way. Trust me, I really did see that !

Just listened to it. First off, imho a horrible song. Secondly, if I heard correctly Chris is singing all of the first verse and chorus and parts of the rest, at the very end he does the high-pitched backing vocals. Awful vocoder effect. How can you willingly distort this voice so that it becomes barely recognizable ? Shame on you Avicii. Is this the song they made 600 versions for ??

I'd actually like that idea of song titles being based off earlier song titles - but only relating to, not being the complete opposite every time, which would sound bad !!

You forgot that at least one of THOSE titles will probably feature the likes of Rihanna/Nicki Minaj/Taylor Swift/One Direction/Justin Bieber... ;)

Actually, I now know which Coldplay song I truly hate. And I mean it as in truly, truly, truly hate, not just dislike. It's I am Your Baby's Daddy. Those lyrics are just so gross that I still wonder how Chris Martin ever managed to speak them out on a public video. I hate that "song" !

If we take it idea wise, I'd add UATW here ("and just start again")
