  1. Saw Noel Gallagher there back in March. The whole time I was thinking "Imagine if Coldplay were to play here" It's a fantastic venue. The capacity is what, 20,000? Might be a bit small for Coldplay unfortunately who nowadays prefer stadiums. Would much prefer to see them in an arena though! ;)
  2. Politik > The Escapist/LiT In My Place > Cemeteries of London GPASUYF > Lost! The Scientist > 42 Clocks > Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love Daylight < Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant Green Eyes < VLV Warning Sign < Violet Hill A Whisper < Strawberry Swing AROBTTH > Death and all his Friends Amsterdam > The Escapist The fact of the matter is, AROBTTH is considered one of the best albums of all time and while VLV is a great album it just doesn't have the same significance, class and influence AROBTTH has had. AROBTTH is Coldplay at their creative peak, everything just comes together to create a very earthly and fervent sound. All the elements work together flawlessly. Jonny's guitar snarls, Chris's piano sounds like audible perfection, Guy's basslines act as fluid to move everything along and Will's drums are loud! It's a very stripped back record and feels cohesive. The talent shines through rather than synth sounds and lovely production. It's AROBTTH everyday of the week.
  3. The 3 Arena would be heaven on earth.
  4. Am I the only one who would be happy to travel to see them if necessary?
  5. Well let me ask you this, did you enjoy the new single?
  6. No they could still play the single Friday and release the single in October. I can't see them not playing anything new on Friday really.
  7. They mention going back to the style of MX in the article :uneasy:
  8. I also wouldn't call VLV Oldplay (Sorry) more like an intermediary album, a stepping stone if you will. For me anyway, Oldplay is the early EP's (obviously) and the albums produced by Ken Nelson. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll ever get a true Oldplay album again unless they get Ken Nelson back on board. He contributed a lot to the signature Coldplay sound, for example the Howling Bells debut was produced by Ken Nelson to imitate the sound of AROBTTH. [video=youtube;gho30Hx59z0] A Whisper anyone? [video=youtube;Fk1qkbQtoZ0] Another track Ken produced was Frequency by Feeder and the Coldplay comparisons are hard to deny. The vocals sound very X&Y-esque [video=youtube;9jxKwzqKf80]
  9. XXLs?? Only in America :laugh3: You would think H&M would have a British counterpart that would sell the t shirts too :(
  10. Great Thread. Just what we needed so we don't annoy the others in the LP7 forum ;) [video=youtube;T206fUthlUU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T206fUthlUU
  11. There is no way you could have been alive in the 00's without knowing who Coldplay were :laugh3:
  12. VLV is great and all but It can't even be compared to AROBTTH (Nothing else compares) So VLV
  13. :x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y: Save X&Y! :x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y::x&y:
  14. AHFOD announced! In keeping with their trend of experimentation, in order to expand their horizons the new album will be a gangsta rap album. Guy came out as a transgender woman. The Bakery burst into flames. (Cupcake meets amp accident) Will lost his drumsticks. (The chicken ones mind you) People still going on about AROBTTH on the forum. Tour of Azerbaijan announced for 2016. All in all, you didn't miss much.
  15. I just want to let everyone know that when I utterly destroy you in this it's nothing personal, and when this is all over we can still be friends. :laugh3:
  16. ^That will be me the next Coldplay tour. Even the thought of not getting tickets when they're in town is giving me anxiety.
  17. You'll never beat the Irish ;)
  18. #TheTshirtWillBeMine I'm going to win I tell you! Win! :laugh3:
