  1. A bit of humor as we anxiously await what the first single will sound like :laugh3: [video=youtube;7ttmViGCpc0]
  2. You can understand the frustration although, If you're a hardcore fan and the band decide to pander to the casual concert goers by playing Magic over Politik while all the while they lethargically stand around tweeting on their smartphones. If you only know two songs why would you bother seeing them anyway? What's even more unfair is the fact an actual fan might miss out on tickets because someone wants to hear VLV live :rolleyes:
  3. I'm from Waterford, which is nicer than Cork and Kerry combined  hehe
  4. It's very hard for me to explain, It's like a feeling. Coldplay is just intuitive to me. I honestly don't know what it is, whether it be the ambiance of Parachutes or the boldness of AROBTTH. There are other artists I like a lot, but I just like them- It's nothing like the sheer love I have for Coldplay. Coldplay's music just speaks to me on every level, listening to it is like a journey through every emotion and the melodies put me in a state of ecstasy. It's actually a very spiritual experience. Everyone has that one band I think. For some it's The Beatles and others it could even be One Direction, for me it just happens to be Coldplay. It's funny really when you think about it, we don't really have choice about what tastes we have when it comes to music. We think we do but we don't. Its just innate in us. Some people utterly detest and loathe Coldplay... I'll never understand that just like I'll never understand how some like Death Metal. It's a mad world really As cliche as it may sound, Coldplay is honestly the soundtrack to my life. The raw emotional power of Chris's music has honestly changed my life. Through the good and the bad, Coldplay is always there to reflect my emotions back at me. It's honestly very cathartic for me. We have very few constants in our life, but for me music is always there and Coldplay's music will always be there. I'll cherish this band for many more years to come.
  5. Absolutely ridiculous
  6. It would make you wonder... *Coldplay live 2012* God put a smile upon your face- From AROBTTH. Everyone standing around like walking dead extras watching it through their smartphones. POC- Coldplay's worst song by far, Rihanna appears and crowd goes wild... POC has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Terrible lyrics and awful synth sounds. Rihanna was obviously not chosen for her vocal abilities or talent, only because it would be mutual gain for both parties. Awfully lazy song and I haven't listened to it since release. I'm against collaborations for AHFOD in general but IF it is Rihanna again I'll be bitterly disappointed.
  7. We've invaded somewhere for a change ;)
  8. Not to mention "VIVA" is written on the side
  9. I'm currently on a Cranberries binge until LP7 is released :)
  10. In My Place is getting a shocking amount of mentions! :inquisitive:
  11. What if you should decide.
  12. We'd survive, but we'd be Lost!
  13. In all honesty, If it crashed you would be meeting Death And All His Friends.
  14. You'd be Up With The Birds!
  15. Really hated ASFOS when it was first released. Must say it has grown on me now! Bit of a guilty pleasure so to speak.
  16. Violet Hill is a protest song about the war on terror.
  17. I second the electric tutorial. Looks like a lot of barre chords...
  18. It means whatever you want it to :) Spies was always my orwellian Coldplay track :)
  19. It Hurts like Heaven not getting any Coldplay news.
  20. You'll hear it better with this cover: [video=youtube;_VvDqEJdtdk]
  21. Yes, It certainly seems as if Everything's Not Lost with it.
  22. Great stuff. Loving the all the AROBTTH era covers. Keep it up :arobtth:
  23. You'll get in Trouble for repeating song titles ;)
  24. Yeah, This is very true. Clocks is a good example because without Guy's bass line to move the song along it wouldn't have the same urgency or "feel" to it. Another prime example is Violet Hill where the bass line is basically the complete foundation for the song and creates the dark and menacing atmosphere.
  25. It seems you made this thread after A rush of blood to the head....
