As part of an insightful set of reviews, I'm reviewing Ghost Stories next Always In My Head- a relaxing and ambient opener with use of O. lyrics are deeply soothing and everything fits together perfectly. one of their best Magic- another ambient and relaxing song, but with themes of getting over something or someone. Jonny's guitar is like an angel and the bass line is great, sauna music or when you're feeling down listen to this Ink- not much of a fan of the track much now, but it's ink pot like beat is very Minecraft sounding. dunno why I thought of that, but it just seems like it fits in a TV show or video game. takes you on an adventure as well, which is cool True Love- really beautiful little song, visuals live are amazing, they should be proud of this Midnight- one of the best songs Coldplay have ever made. it has elements inspired by Radiohead's Kid A and Jon Hopkins' work, and the cold and dark lyrics mix well with the soothing but chilling Nine Inch Nails like-ambience. an entire album of this would get a solid 10 Another's Arms- bland and reminds me of a less creepy We Suck Young Blood, beat is off, it doesn't belong here Oceans- chill out acoustic song. best listen to night when it's raining or you're by the sea A Sky Full Of Stars- the hit this album wanted. enjoy it quite a bit beside it's pop/EDM beats and dance grooves which still don't belong here O- makes you want to fly, gorgeous song and quite a masterpiece, like its build up ending as well, used in nearly all my playlists Ghost Story- why isn't this on the album? creepy, chilling ending and soothing, acoustic main song. All Your Friends- tearjerker, really depressing but really means a lot, one of their best B Sides O (Reprise)- another one that ends a lot of my playlists, really ambient and hopeful look at the world. beautiful. 9.5/10 2nd best album of the 2010's imo.

I've give the album another listen: AHFOD- one of the best they've ever done. Rocking and disco fit very nicely together with ambience. Birds- bouncy, indie sounding, it's another MX attempt and its damn good. Hymn For The Weekend- poppy and upbeat, I could dance to it, quite catchy, but amongst that it's a bit meh. Overproduction used way too much. Everglow- chill out, typical piano ballad, but boring and doesn't really have a permanent message Adventure Of A Lifetime- another disco rock track. Not as good as the opener, but still awesome and one of the best singles they've ever released in the Newplay era Fun- meh, this is very meh, lyrics ok I guess but got too many sappy cliches Kaleidoscope- amazing and beautiful, best interlude they've ever done, message clear and effective when live Army Of One- organs good, drums good, rest is CRAP and BULLSHIT, skip X Marks The Spot- even worse, skip Amazing Day- beautiful, seems meh when you look at the title, but it really is quite a masterpiece Colour Spectrum- ambient and colourful, but someone make it longer, still sounds amazing though Up&Up- make the guitar solos more hearable! Other than that, great way to finish, but please if this was more original and raw, it would stand out a lot better. Current Coldplay album rating: 6/10

A thread where you can make your own concert:D COLOURFORM CONCERT for Global Citizen Ive had an idea for a London concert where all acts involved aren't announced until the show begins, but it does clarify lots of big acts are involved. The stage is basically the stage from Coldplay's super bowl show, with a AHFOD Tour size one on the end. I've limited myself to 30 artists who will perform at the Concert, and as they perform, all songs will link up with each other, like a setlist or a story or a big concert! And another element of the concert is that it is for Global Citizen. Set One: TV Transmission begins, BBC, ABC, EBU, etc Announcer: It is seven o clock. This is the London Olympic Stadium. And it's a moment that everyone's been waiting for, a concert unlike no other. This is the non-stop, music filled concert that no one thought would happen. Soon everyone will know the names of the artists who are performing in a one time only LIVE concert. This is not a drill. Welcome to the 1st Colourform Concert. (fireworks) And this is...Coldplay!
