The Hardest Part: + Gorgeous melody, everything flows very nicely together, piano sounds amazing, great guitar work by Jonny. overall just a really beautiful and nice track. Top 5 in X&Y for me. - As beautiful as it is, I find it hard to remember anything about the song except the first minute or so, so I have to listen to it again. Most of the lyrics are very good, however, some could be better. Now that I've listened to it again, it kind of sounds weak for some reason. I don't know what it is... however it has a strong enough melody and guitar work in the second half of the song to still be in my Top 5 for X&Y. It's also really repetitive. Life In Technicolor ii

^ Funny thing is, I've listened to it only like 3 times.... I suppose it's actually quite good but not as good as when it first came out. Again I think it goes along with that comparing it to Coldplay's discography that drags it down. If you listen to it on it's own without thinking about anything else it's really good.

A song that beat Up With The Birds, as impossible as it seems, probably got thrown away in those sessions. Stargate. Not cool. :( I find it interesting that there was all this hype before this album.. that this was going to be the return to "Oldplay", and that this was going to be the best album ever. Some died after they mentioned Tove Lo, Beyonce, and Stargate, and extra was generated because of Noel. After Amazing Day (before all of this got revealed) the forum polarized, and some said that this was going to be a bad album, some of the people who thought it was bad said that this is most likely going to be a worse song on the album, then the others got hyped for the album even more. After AOAL, mainly really positive and applauding Coldplay for trying yet more new things. After the preview of the MV for it some hype died again. After the leak, mainly positive. After the release though... I just find it puzzling! The people who liked the album suddenly started to find it losing it's sparkle, and as a result the reactions to this album went steadily from positive... to a surprising more than half negative!.... It's weird with me too, because I also find it losing it's magic. I don't know why, this album as it gains it's "Coldplay identity" is losing it's sparkle. I think it's because it was so new and exciting and fresh from Coldplay in the beginning and we were all excited, yet as time past and we started to see it as any other Coldplay album, we all start to realize how good the rest of Coldplay's discography is... and as a result AHFOD's magic it losing quickly since we start to see the major flaws in it compared to the others. I must admit this is dropping in my album List. It's because I'm now seeing it as a Coldplay album, the "newness" and the awesomeness coming from it is fading, and we compare it to the rest of Coldplay's discography and it feels "incomplete" like something it missing. AROBTTH and MX were just so rich... but this one feels hollow now. And incomplete. Still massively good compared to other pop acts but this compared to a lot of the rest of Coldplay's discography just pales... Something's missing. :( :( :( So much hype, all to be lost........ :(

EDIT: I just recounted the votes, and What If, is in fact, at 16 points. Here's why: The first vote was on the first page. The second vote was on the second page. As you can see, AROBTTH's tally was also affected. I have it at 15 however, since @anthamic voted for it and said 14, when it was really 15. @anthamic voted for What If both times, but always kept it at 13. This was because I wasn't awake at the time, and as a result, never got to update the scoreboard, which I assumed that he'd have looked off of the second time. Then, the next person (not sure if @anthamic or not) changed it to 14. What If was still a point behind, but I'd updated the scoreboard to show 15. As a result, @I ran away comes along, and puts 16 in his count, which is in fact the correct point total as you can see from the evidence above. It was partially my fault because I did notice, but I never really told @anthamic about it. I just counted his second vote as 14 for What If silently and that's it. However, because of this, I do recommend you look at who's vote I counted last to make sure you don't post an outdated score like this! It's in the large grey at the top of the master list. I recommend to make sure you look at it before you go off my scoreboard because it could be outdated! If you do find it's outdated, make sure no extra votes have been casted for the songs that you're voting for that came after I last updated it! If there are some votes for those songs, make sure you go off the count that's in those comments (unless you find that they posted the same score twice for the same song because they went off the outdated scoreboard, in which case you'd add yet another point to the tally after your vote). Just trying to help. :)

^ I saw the comment that put a Coldplay song vs Stay and I seen that as the last post but in fact when you return to a thread it now gives you the last unread post. I love that for reading conversations in these forums but if there is a way to turn it off for games that'd be great because that's the fifth time now where I got dissapointed that my choice was no longer valid because I forgot that that's the last unread post, not the latest overall post in the thread, which it showed me after posting my post as you can see above. Hopefully you fallowed me on that one, that was tricky :D EDIT: Oh need to make a desicion! BTW, just listened to that Dont look back in anger song and I can't believe I haven't listened to it yet. It's.... magnificent. It's sad that most of the stuff you hear on the radio can't even compare and should never be mentioned in the same sentence as songs like these. It's one of those songs that get better as you listen to it more, and the further the song progresses the better it goes on. It sounds like a really rocky AROBTTH track.
