  1. when interpol was on jimmy kimmel the lead paul banks wrote on his hand 'rip john' or something - some sort of shout out to john peel! i was wondering who he was and now i know.
  2. yay for people who enjoy interpol. and hahaha at the 'well they aren't wham' comment. ha! that made me chuckle. the only song i really notice the keyboard is 'slow hands' that song wouldn't be as charming without that sweet keyboard loving. my favourite song off antics has to be 'c'mere' i love the chorus! i wish they had played it live when i saw them. i wish they had played for longer then an hour period! :S
  3. fedora's are so hot right now and paul banks in a fedora is even hotter. i saw interpol in october and LOVED IT. nothing beats 'nyc' live. NOTHING.
  4. i don't think so, i really like snow patrol though and the song 'run' was one of my favourites off the album. but no, it certainly doesn't remind me of yellow anyway.
  5. i saw muse on halloween. they were great. here's a snapshot from the night. oooh nevermind, its too big. but if you go to my journal i posted a few pictures a few entries back (livejournal.com/~dirtyaffection)
  6. i only saw a bit of the new franz video. from what i saw i didn't think there was much of a plot to it. though it isn't my favourite track i am completely obsessed with their album. p.s. interpol are fantastic.
  7. i've known about him for awhile but that's just because one of my friends is good friends with him. he's the nicest guy and has the most velvet sounding voice. pppuuuurrrr. he's a geniunely nice guy. i hope the biz doesn't ruin him.
  8. i never watched it when it originally aired but now that family channel plays it i'm becoming addicted!
  9. high fidelity, but i'm not an avid john cusack follower.
  10. ahthankyou! heh. :: curtsie :: :)
  11. for a third chapter in a series of movies american wedding was pretty damn good! considering the fact that they still kept it all somewhat fresh and the characters still pretty interesting, kudos! i am a big fan of the movie slackers. it was completely trashed by the critics but i love how offbeat it is at times!
  12. it definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea, but i think will ferrel is hilarious. he could just say 'hi' and i'd be in stitches. hahaha mimixx had me chuckling with the 'i thought it as pants'.
  13. oh good, this will help his street cred. good pr move maculay. ;)
  14. ha. that mario thing is pretty clever. i like that kupa vomits. nice touch.
  15. mmhmm, talk show host is a sweet song. i also lovelovelove that last track 'you and me song'.
  16. the other night some late-night talk show host made a quip about rick james death "he died doing what he loved, drugs..."
  17. uh, no they aren't. unless you've been to all of the middle east then i think you should keep your assumptions about it to yourself. can you say the actions of a few should not represent a whole nation. i'm not saying that doesn't happen over there, it does. but it also happens in america, canada, the uk, asia...etc. it just happens to be reported on the most with cases from the middle east. do you think the same thing about american men who beat their wives? 4 million american women experience some sort of assault during a 12 month period with an intimate partner. think before you speak next time.
  18. oh my lord. everyone is freakin' on this game. my friends were on a waiting list for it. i've played the sims before, but still don't really understand the fascination. what's the new one all about?
  19. i liked it. it's a really simple movie - maybe that's why you can feel overwhelmed after. kudos on the soundtrack. it's the first movie soundtrack i've ever purchased (second i own - swiped my sister's copy of the romeo&juliet soundtrack).
  20. that's my life motto. i always use the excuse 'you only live once and you don't get hungry in heaven'. works for me when i want a second helping. heh.
  21. my brother cut out redmeat. he didn't eat after 7. completely stopped drinking caffine/carbonated beverages. worked out at least 4 days a week for a minimum of 40 minutes. i mean, that's just a few things. it is seriously all about how devoted you are to changing things around. to lose an excessive amount of weight you can't just cut calories. it's a mental thing. you've really got to examine what role food takes in your life and why. if you don't you'll just gain it all back. maybe you aren't ready for such a drastic change yet, but you will be. there will come a moment in your life when you'll be ready.
  22. it says i'm normal - ha. yeah, normal maybe - but normal never seems good enough. :/
  23. i haven't taken the bmi test in such a long time. years even. and kingofburgers if you are serious about needing to lose 100 pounds it is very possible. my brother lost 200 pounds. you have to be dedicated and willing to completely change around your lifestyle. i have a feeling your joking though.
