lol. pop art is awesome, but a lot of people think its boring and really uncreative. i just love colour so i think that's why i'm so all about it. i bet one of your friends would be into it! or hey, spain is a big honeymoon spot - you could take your wifey. isnt' it weird that in like 6 years you might have found your soul mates and be married (since the marrying average s 24-26). i find that so bizarre!

i was wondering where dali's museum was, spain eh? ah, you'll get your chance. maybe after med school you and your doctor friends can go to spain as a celebration trip! right now my best friend and i are planning a trip to pittsberg to see the andy warhol museum because he's [funnily enough] both of our favourite artist. i'm a big pop art slut. i luckily (or unluckily however you look at it) am not going back to university until next year so i don't have to worry too much about money.
  3. they did a duet with dan wilson of semisonic called 'good morning baby' that i can't stop listenning to.

well my best friend is an artist so she's credited with sort of opening my eyes to the more visual aspects of life. i was in chicago recently and visited the 'chicago art institute', i was floored. i didn't know what they carried there so i was really fortunate to get to view works by monet, van gogh, and picasso. it blows my mind to see those paintings in real life. those reprints do them no justice at all.
  5. man, i know there are bands i don't like, but i can't remember them now. oh, i bet i'll get the beats but i can't stand alexisonfire - that's their name i think?

oh wow, that's really interesting. thanks a lot for taking the time to post that response. mucho appreciated. ;) i didn't even notice some of the things mentioned in that painting. like the ants, i'm not sure i ever paid attention to that. i would always stare at the clocks. fascinating! lol.

i'm no fan of gravity or moses.
  8. yeah, i definitely wouldn't have predicted the sound 'a rush...' turned out having after i heard 'parachutes'. i thought they would have stayed the soft accoustic/piano route. i definitely think the next album won't be predictable in the least.
  9. ah well, you can't please everyone. though i have to say i enjoy 'the hives' and they put on a hell of a live show. shrug. ^snow patrol also rocks my collective socks. i just bought their album. haven't had time to give it a proper spin, but i like what i hear so far...^
  10. i've come to expect that julia stiles movies just won't be good. she was great in 'ten things...' but after that i just really disliked her presence on screen.

i think his paintings are really incredible. i mean i remember the first one i saw was 'geopictas' (my spelling maybe off...) and i just stared for 15 minutes. i don't understand a lot of his work though most of the time. can you explain how he got his ideas or any fun facts about him? a lot of people don't know much about dali.
  12. a lot of people write her off as just another avril lavigne, but if you actually listen to her record she couldn't be more different. i am really obsessed with her album. there's a few shit songs, but for the most part it is like putting poetry to music. she's on the 'chicks with attitude' tour with liz phair, the cardagins, and charolette martin. they come to toronto's kool haus on the 28th of this month and i just purchased my tickets. ahh, i'm siked. is anyone else going or even a fan of her?

myspace is crazy. i joined for fun, i never update my profile or anything yet i still recieve messages from older arab guys wanting to meet me.
  14. anyone seen 'igby goes down'? apparently its the carbon copy of 'the catcher and the rye' but no one will admit it.
  15. it looks funny and has potential to become a 'stoner classic' but it will never be as good as dazed and confused which critics keep comparing it to.

when i went to chicago for a week i got hooked on the starbucks light carmel frappicino. so good.
  17. i'm sick of all these 'religions'.
  18. they don't sound like coldplay to me, but to someone who isn't a big enough fan of either band to spot the differences i can see the comparision. keane only have one good song. i was so sad with the rest of their album.
  19. yeah for poor me because i adore that song and boo for moses because i am so sick of that track. and meh for world turns upside down. it's okay.
  20. i saw ben five when he openned for tori amos last summer. he was excellent. what a showmen.
  21. saw it at the drive-in last night. it was really good and a lot more interesting then the first installment. it's definitely got some surprises and interesting plot turns. plus, there's a scene close to the end that sets up for the next spiderman perfectly and doesn't overdo it which i appreciated.
  22. i saw the movie in question last night and i personally thought it was great. yes, it's only docu-tainment, this is not authentic journalism or a real documentary - we all know that. i for one think moore is a good guy and a talented film-maker. i also know that he edits things in favour of his point and exploits emotions to help get audiences to feel for his cause. all i can say is i'm glad that there is a place where people are finally seeing things that the american media has basically never touched on. the movie raises questions, starts conversations, and helps us all figure out where we stand even if its strongly against moore and his ideas. there is way worst garbage put on movie screens month after month, finally something with a little substance comes out and everyones up in arms.
  23. that means there is hope for you. the people in the theater actually began to whoop and clap when the two girls kissed. i felt really sad. lol.
  24. lol. stank you very much. ahhh, that scene is classic. that and the kool-aid man crashing the courthouse!
