Ghost Stories Tour discussion thread
I think it was said in the Zane interview that the felt like if they charged a lot of ppl to go to their concerts it would diminish the message of the song in some way. I can respect that, but still not happy they aren't coming to Toronto....

Bonus Tracks
So far the 3 bonus tracks are only available legally for purchase in Target stores in the US. Illegally however.... I think the bonus tracks are alluded to be available to everyone in ~5 months if you can stand the wait.

Which pre-album period have you enjoyed the most in the past 10 years?
Ah, thanks. I'm not good with names. I only know debs 'cause its such a unique name, Debs Wild esp. compared to Matt Miller, a more generic name.

Did not know that. I also found out last month the oracle is Debs. I think we know R42 as well but forgot the name. Do we know Anchorman?

Which pre-album period have you enjoyed the most in the past 10 years?
I was a bit technologically challenged at the time of X&Y. I didn't know how to google well, didn't know how to download things, I think I even asked for a copy for X&Y on the forum not knowing about copyright laws! So I didn't know how to search for news on the album and therefore didn't really participate in this era until the album was actually out. MX has one big issue that made the era not quite as enjoyable nor impactful as it couldve been: we simply heard too many songs way before the album was out. I was one of the many on this site finding live streams for Rock Am Ring (and the other concert before it). I/we were all spoiled and hooked from the first chimes of mylo xyloto as it lead into Hurts Like Heaven with its mesmerizing guitar work and combined laser show. But with such a big gap between that first concert and the album release, by the time MX came out, i've heard the whole thing already and the magic was pretty much d.o.a. GS has kinda suffered the same problem as MX in that I/we have heard most of the songs already. I only haven't heard Ink and the bonus tracks. At its peak, my bootleg GS album of 3 released tracks and all others live recordings or snippets had over 30 minutes of the 42 the final product eventually had. Not all was bad though. The amount of time between the surprise Midnight promo single and now was short yet has a lot of nuggets of info within those past weeks. It seemed like every week had an appearance on TV or concert stream or interview to keep hype high. I think the viva era was the best pre-album era for one standout reason: Prospekt. For those unfamiliar, the character posted a lot of behind the scenes stuff on Coldplay's webpage as a kind of journal. I just remember it being very insightful in regards to tracklists, new songs, all that jazz. It was pretty much roadie 42 before there was a roadie 42. I also happened to be present at the time of this album leaking (in JTF) (my first live leak). All this combined with the new Coldplay HQ, the Bakery, a drastically different sounding Coldplay, new collaborations (Eno, Rossi, etc) and lots of footage made this my fav pre-release era from Coldplay's history.

ghost stories dvd
It could still work with commercials. Full album ~42 mins + 18 mins for commercials. Just have to cut out 3 songs/possible interview/keep intersong instrument shuffling to minimum.

ghost stories dvd
Are those 3 songs in the broadcast? I thought it was played in LA to pump up the crowd. Also, I vaguely remember hearing short interviews are a possibility too (in the style of MX DVD). I don't even remember what is news and what is speculation anymore

A Rush Of Blood To The Head vs Ghost Stories

Chris Martin On 'On Air With Ryan Seacrest' (Radio Show)
Seacrest? Jk. I found it pretty interesting given that its only a 8 minute interview. Some rehash from the Zane interview, tour news (or lack thereof) and Chris humour.

The one unfortunate nugget of news is no touring plans...:(

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Just by reading all 3 threads and getting a feel for what everyone thought. Of course, everyone could be wrong. It's all guesswork at this point. We don't even know when LP7 is coming out let alone what the style would be. Edit: +1 for correct use of 'whose'

Rank Coldplay's 6 Studio Albums
lol, I have it ranked even lower (dead last), don't worry about it. Someone has to be last, but in this case it doesn't mean I don't like it, just that I like it less than others

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
No ones gonna kill you, but we already have 3 threads on it and LP6 isn't even officially out yet  http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/99366-Coldplay-to-follow-Ghost-Stories-in-2015-with-another-album http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/99506-2015-LP7 http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/99731-Coldplay-will-be-releasing-album-in-2015 I think the consensus was its gonna be a big album; that GS was Chris getting this 'breakup energy' out of his system and LP7 is gonna be back to stadium filling tunes.
