  1. Again, most of the hate from the thread originated from your first post (complaining about lack of music when its plenty, complaining about no song following the album name when there already is and complaining about quality of songs when its a subjective topic). Regarding "do I have to pay extra" for target release. So far its only available in the US
  2. Starts thread with "No hate pls". Proceeds with the most hateful post of the thread.
  3. That's happens to be when this mini tour starts, but I wouldn't count out the band disallowing the attendees from filming again. Reading around a bit, it seems like the band are playing in small venues again like with the secret test gigs. The small crowd may serve as something to aide the performance atmosphere but it may also (by design or by coincidence) help control what the crowd films (using the logic that its easier to control a small crowd than a big one). On the other hand, the tour stretches as far as July 1st (so far) and by that time the album would've been out for months; the band may just let all the shows film whatever they want whether its before or after the album release. Either way, there are multiple TV appearances on tap for more chances for new music and content from the lads. TL;DR Remaining songs not guaranteed to find their way to youtube but increasing in probability starting on April 25th.
  4. ^ it appears the track lengths changed since the last time I was on itunes. Before they were all the same, and now it appears these are the real lengths perhaps?

  8. I think so. Someone needs to make a calendar of Coldplay events.
  9. jc90 replied to a post in a topic in Past Releases
Someone else found that already. The preview sounds a lot like The Scientist from Live 2012 and the track length is the same too. That would be my guess.
  10. We dont even have the song itself yet. One step at a time....
  11. As I said in the other thread, looks like the Live 2012 version
  12. I dont see how/why they would bother having them in an extended version but not the 'real' shortened version at all
  13. Not gonna lie, the board will definitely not be as good without you at the helm. You're what a moderator should be and then some. You pull up a lot of information on the band we love and make it accessible all in one place and you do it with such speed (!) and all the while keeping it organized and tidy. You're a fair moderator, unbiased and helpful at answering the odd question. What was said earlier is true; we'll need 10 ppl to replace the amount of work you do. It's strange since I don't know anything about you except your user name. I don't know your real name, what you look like, your age, where you're from, anything...but when I see a thread and it's started by or bumped by you, I can expect it to contain some news you've somehow managed to find. All that being said, you've done more than enough, and been through more than enough to deserve a long and restful retirement from modding the boards. Any real life sort of event (be it health related, relationships, etc) will always have priority over what goes on on an internet discussion group, in my mind. With the news of your declining health, your resignation is not only understood, but expected and recommended. Without dragging on much longer, I hope your health gets back to a higher level. I hope you can enjoy the forum as just a user, without the stresses of moderating it and I hope you can appreciate the band as just another fan on this site.
  14. Yay, things are happening!
  15. Holy shit yes, this is exactly the kind of on-screen personality I was describing. Fun, natural, energetic with a few jokes yes but it doesn't take away from his content. Also his video quality is at a level that it should be if you're serious about this channel and want it to excel. I mean this in terms of the quality of the video (HD) and attention to detail in editing/post production. I'm not running this project but as its most vocal supporter I'd say this guy is the clear front runner or at least the model towards which we should build upon. Might I ask you about your setup (camera, software) and how long a video like this takes to produce from start to finish? And would you give your more professional advice about the first episode.
  16. You desperately need a team of each 'department' (On air personalities, writers, artists) because they help catch mistakes and offer different angles. And its not the amount of content that im worried about, its the relevancy. Case in point, no mention of Guy's birthday which I would def. put in as news. Also, as a viewer of the last channel, being a bit too heavy on the comedy was one of its downfalls. In other words, it was more poor comedy than well presented news. My advice is to not even worry about being funny. That should come through with a good presenter (who I guess will work collaboratively with writers). If anything, leave the funnies for the discussion/podcast idea where jokes and such would flow more easily and organically (like in normal, friendly discussion).
  17. I think you gotta have a clear list of things you want and then make a thread asking for them. As opposed to asking for volunteers and them having not much to give. This is what I would ask for: -Someone who has a good camera who is also good at presenting. Ask them what kind of equipment they have (software, camera) and previous presenting experience (do they run a vlog, their own youtube channel (if so, check it out), are they perhaps an arts student with lots of expertise?). In other words, treat it like you're hiring someone for a job, which you are. -A team of 'writers'. Do not need to make a script but compile a list of news for them to present (I wouldn't mind doing this). -Artists (photoshoppers) to create an intro and outro splash perhaps? Also, let them dig for relevant pics. I'm confident those types of people are on this forum and are willing to help. Also, I'd consider making the thread more visible by making a thread in the Coldplay subforum or even on the main coldplaying news page 'cause i'm not so sure this subforum gets a lot of traffic
  18. Just saw the podcast. Now, I really hate to be negative but I'd also hate to lie to everyone and say it was perfect. So keep that in mind as I offer some feedback 'cause I really want this project to take off. -A large problem I found in both this version of the podcast and the previous one (coldplayingtv) is how unpolished the video is. Here, the video is technically in HD now, but what the point if its just a slideshow? The speaker should definitely be ON camera. -Related to the last point is the how you convey your message. This may be your first video (I don't know) but again, it's lacking that type of person who is casual when speaking; it just needs a person who is natural in front of a camera (i'm sure we can find one of those guys within the forums). I mean, it was clear you had a script prepared (which is good) but it seemed like you were reading straight from it. +I liked the segment you had with the fan art and hope it can make regular appearances. But to build on that, why not more segments or at least sort out the news in a more logical way. Example, Chris news, Jonny news, Will news, Guy news, album specific news, live appearances news, concert/single review news, etc. +You were at your best when you were talking about the fake single art. More off the cuff, spontaneous and not as scripted. TL;DR We need a true presenter who owns equipment to shoot with. We need to design and organize the segments more logically Again, I hate to be Mr. Negative, but I wanna see this become something big. At the same time, I cannot offer to be that host I am describing 'cause I hate my voice as well and I'm just not that guy either.
  19. BURN THIS THREAD DOWN p.s. I vote both
  20. Where's the option for both?
  21. Maybe Noel, but def not BDI
  22. ^ that image was also a thumbnail for a few fake youtube videos as well. The quality of the image also suggests that someone just took the thumbnail and blew it up to size
