  1. I have faith Coldplay could turn it around again one day, even if they never match the quality of their 2000s output. Weezer recently put out a decent album with Everything Will Be Alright In The End so you never know. The 2010s will probably become known for Coldplay what the 1980s are for David Bowie. Something to look back and cringe upon.
  2. I prefer ETIAW. Might prefer ASFOS too. Eep :worried:
  3. I second most of what's been said in this thread. The song itself is OK, not the worst thing ever and hardly the worst song this band have put out, but Coldplay are capable of so much better than this. I only hope that Coldplay can get this dance obsession out of their system with AHFOD and refresh with something interesting on LP8.
  4. The tracklist is different on the official Coldplay store ??? http://coldplay.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=COLWEBUKWUSD&sku=COLBN017
  5. Go to iTunes. Artwork and tracklist confirmed
  6. Everything Everything! I approve. Don't approve of the talking over the outro though :(
  7. I'm loving this thread. I think of Prospekt's March as the last Oldplay release. It's a neat EP and I'm aware it's mostly leftovers from the Viva sessions, but in retrospect it felt like the beginning of the end. I remember hearing Glass of Water for the first time and thinking it was a little too poppy and upbeat in an over-the-top bombastic way for my tastes. Still a good song, but slightly concerning. Then of course there was Lost+ with Jay Z, need I say more? I kind of hoped these would be one offs as it was something of a b-sides collection but lo and behold, three years later MX went further in that direction. For what it's worth I thought that GS was a huge improvement, and I'm approaching AHFOD with an open mind. MX was a terrible album though, and there's no way around that for me. Such an enormous downwards leap from a band with so much promise.
  8. I'm not sure it's worth ever going to a concert again after seeing Sigur Ros. They reached such a level of perfection that night that it'd be foolish to think any other band could possibly come close.
  9. I'm in Adelaide and I second this
  10. Radiohead never released Mylo Xyloto Radiohead wins
  11. I logged in to post something along the lines of this. Coldplay might not give a shit about the charts, but EMI almost certainly do. There is no way they're going to squander one of their biggest acts, especially seeing as this might be their last album for a while.
  12. I would be amazed if the album was released before 2016. But we should at least get a single or two before then.
  13. Although it's not unprecedented, it's rare a major label will release a studio album of new original material in November or December. That period tends to be reserved for best-of's and the like. So the latest for a 2015 release would be the end of October. But assuming this will be a traditional release I doubt that'd be likely, as they would've had to have announced it all a least a month ago in order to get the promo happening and the distribution sorted in time. I'd put my money on a Q1 2016 release. Unless they do a surprise online release, at which point there are no rules and all bets are off.
  14. I like this about it too. I wonder if they'd shot another video for ASFoS before this and scrapped it, like they did with Paradise. That'd explain why it took so long for the video to get made after the single release and why it came out so quickly after the filming.
  15. It's a dark video about an urban dystopia where everyone is on their fucking phone! ...Types FOP from his phone

  18. What the actual fuck... http://thequietus.com/articles/15274-coldplay-ghost-stories-review
  19. I really wish they'd done more in this direction.
