wanna hear a song!?
Yes, "geg" means jump in, interrupt, that kind of thing (I think). I have a signed photo of Terry Wogan if that's any help.

Mixtape Exchange no.2
Yeah PM me whenever. I'd prefer no Coldplay because I know what they sound like and I'm already a fan - I'd rather discover bands that I'm not aware of. But whoever's making mine, if you're going to put a Coldplay track on it, make it Strawberry Swing ;) My Last FM does that too - listing loads of bands and singers that I know I've never actually listened to.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Anyone remember if the Oracle said that Debs' email address is still [email protected]? I'm too lazy too look for myself.

Mixtape Exchange no.2
My Last FM is crap, I keep forgetting to log in so I don't think it registers what I listen to on my computer, and I've bought loads of CDs lately which I play on my CD player. Anyway, if anyone wants a list of people I'm already into let me know. EDIT: Silly me, that'd mean I'd know who is making my mixtape, doh. Never mind, put anything you want on it. Except Coldplay.

Books about Lyrics
I don't actually know what I'm looking for. I don't want a "How to write a pop song" book per se - I've googled a few online courses that claim to be able to teach you how to write songs in 30 days or your money back, but that kind of thing is nonsense in my opinion. I'm more interested in the psychology, explanations of lyrics, sources of inspiration, that kind of thing.

Acoustic Guitar Strings
Is it better to start off with nylon and then change to steel once you're more used to the different chord shapes, or is best to start with steel from the start?

wanna hear a song!?
Can I geg in please James and ask if anyone with contacts in the music industry in general can let me know as I'm trying to get in touch with people to discuss work placements, internships, jobs, etc. Thanks.

Life in Technicolor ii
I wouldn't say The Escapist is a different version of LIT. LIT is the dulcimer riff that Guy plays in the video for it, the bit before that is Light Through The Veins (Jon Hopkins), which is also The Escapist.

BACKING TAPES?????? SHOCK, HORROR!!!!!
The Lovers In Japan piano riff is a backing track isn't it? Why does Chris pretend to play it?

Acoustic Guitar Strings
I'm after steel strings. I'll check those ones out thanks.

Acoustic Guitar Strings
I need a set of strings for an old acoustic guitar. One of them has snapped so I might as well just re-string the whole lot. The cheaper the better, without compromising on quality of course.

Glass Of Water lyrics
The lyrics seem a bit airy fairy, wishy washy, a bit meh to me. But I like the music that goes with it. Will has some stomping bass drum action in this, which I like.

Books about Lyrics
I'm after a book about lyrics/songwriting, history of, how to write, examples of good writing, etc. Can anyone recommend me some good books? Thanks.

Tegan and Sara
I love Tegan and Sara! I only started listening to them a couple of months ago but I was hooked from the first song I heard. They're amazing in every possible way. Chinese Blues was a great opener, I love it. What was that video they played before they came on stage?

Embrace!!!!!
Danny's still doing his Aftershow night in Manchester, Mickey's playing keyboards for Talk To Angels, Mike's playing drums for Hope And Social, Rik's producing various bands and helping Danny at the Aftershow, and Steve is.... hmm, no idea where Steve is. I wouldn't expect another album until 2010.

Sorry for the bad language. It wasn't necessary at all and I could have worded my response a lot better. I was just fed up of the seemingly constant barage of one liners and snidey comments that you know are going to provoke people, no matter how hard one tries to ignore them. Seriously, everytime I've seen SP, Gary's voice has been questionable, as has Chris M's. I'll be really fair now, Tom Chaplin's voice back in 2004/2005 was terrible; probaby due to the alcohol and drugs he was experimenting with. But on the last tour, he was fantastic. The guy even sang perfectly at the War Child gig in Manchester even though he had food poisoning and could hardly stand up! Anyway, don't know where I'm going with this... Bye for now.

I've tried ignoring you and avoided being rude but I really can't be arsed trying to be nice any more. Fuck off you moron.
