  1. Philbert! "Turn the page...wash your hands. Turn the page...wash your hands." Sadly, I still have encyclopedic knowledge of Nickelodeon cartoons :disappointed:.
  2. OMG JENN, DON'T SHOW ME THAT, I WILL TOTALLY GO OUT AND GET IT AND DECORATE ALL MY TRAVEL SHIZZ. I'm glad I didn't see that when I was in the scrapbook isle today at Target. I almost bought make-your-own luggage tags, but was sad when I realized it was too small to fit a cool new fancy post-it in . I already have a nice passport case (and I would feel weird decorating an official document  I don't even know if that's legal), but I need a second suitcase for England, and I would totally decorate that, since it won't match my other luggage set :P. These are the post its I was telling you about. They're not COLDPLAY butterflies, but I just love anything with butterflies these days (they have Converse One Star sneakers with pink butterflies on them...BUT ONLY FOR BABIES ). Mini ones...the purple ones have a butterfly on them underneath the sticker. Regular-sized butterfly themed ones, $1 each (I got other $1 each ones last week with hearts and candy on them...I need to forbid myself from buying post its ever again). And I couldn't resist $1 each stickers...ones with cupcakes etc on them (still have a cupcake craving...apparently these are scented, but I haven't tested them out yet...I'm a bit afraid), and Lisa Frank ones, for nostalgia purposes. Did anyone else have a Lisa Frank obsession when they were little?
  3. I watch HGTV or TLC, come on Coldplaying and write overly long and detailed posts, read articles on Wikipedia, or read.
  4. I have to say I think I'm a very good driver, and I don't think I think I'm that good at many things. I've been rear-ended twice, neither time my fault, but other than that, nothing on the record. I'm surprised I like to go fast, though...I don't seem like a person that would go very fast at all :P. I don't really speed, per se, but I do go like 10 MPH over the limit most of the time (and when I'm driving long distances on highways...quite a bit higher than that :uhoh:). I know everyone does that, but most people would pin me as a strict speed-limit-follower. One day I'll probably get a ticket.
  5. AWW, I like the second ones best :wacky:. I still haven't decided which Converse I'm getting...the white eyelet ones or the silver ones I posted earlier in the thread :uhoh:. I should probably order them soon if I really care about getting them. My mom's going to kill me when she sees a shoebox arriving .
  6. Pool times five million. I've never understood the draw of beaches. Yeah, I go to them, but I always end up getting hot and sweaty and covered in itchy sand that gets everywhere. I hate sand. I also have a crippling fear of pretty much all forms of sea life, which makes me unable to stick more than a toe in the water. I'll go in as far as my knees, and then I'll freak out. So, being pretty much being unable to cool off in the water, I just get too hot at the beach, and I hate being hot :P. I'm also a moderate germaphobe, so at least in pools I know most of the nasty stuff is killed in chlorine. Yeah, now that I think about it, the beach involves two of my least favorite things: sand and sea life. I've never been a brilliant swimmer either, but I like hanging out in a nice, uncrowded pool with my friends a lot, just floating around.
  7. I guess I see what you mean, but don't many vegetarians eat fish? I guess to me, it's vegetarianism if you're not eating red meat, and if you're not eating a lot of chicken and fish. I called myself a vegetarian for like 5 years, but I would eat chicken when there was nothing else available. I still don't eat red meat besides the occasional hot dog, but I do eat chicken (I would also probably eat fish if I liked it).
  8. Makayla, you and your brother should win some sort of beautiful people award. Your pictures are adorable :nice:.
  9. I know there are articles out there that state YES, he does drink alcohol and YES, he does eat fish and chicken in order to dispel the rumors that he's a teetotaler and a very strict vegetarian. I'm pretty sure there's a term for a vegetarian that eats chicken & fish...not semi-vegetarian, but it's similar to the term "ovo-lacto vegetarian." I'd go find one if I wasn't leaving the house in five minutes :P.
  10. I thought she was a semi-vegetarian, eating fish and poultry, but I could be wrong . That video was so cute, though :nice:. I've always loved her voice, I think because it's kind of unique and friendly. I really wanted Chris to stick his head in the frame and be like "what's cooking?!" but I knew he wouldn't :P.
  11. Thanks to you, Grace, I've been browsing American Apparel a lot recently. So thanks for making me want clothes I don't need and can't afford :P. I'm seriously going to get the hoodie dress when I go to London. There are I think 6 different locations there, whereas here I'd have to order it online (I think I want the purple one). I totally see this becoming my airport outfit :wacky:. I LOVE the way the Le Sac dress looks on the models, but I have a feeling I would have a really hard time perfectly recreating the different styles, and in any way I tie it, it would just look like a bag. In other news, I think I'm pretty much tired of summer clothes. I want to wear fall/winter clothes now. Because it's been such a mild summer here, I bet September is going to be really hot, but since it seems like England had a hot summer, I'm hoping fall will come early there :sneaky:.
  12. Awww, that guy had a good sense of humor :nice:. What a nice interview! I wish I could see this in theaters too...perhaps it'll still be playing in London in mid-late August :sneaky:. I still stand by my opinion that it needs to be shown in front of KIDS movies, though...I think they'd really enjoy it :wacky:.
  13. One sheet, I think about $3. They only had one of the cupcake ones left at my Borders, though, so maybe they're getting to be sold out :\ I've taken to doodling cupcakes lately because I've had a craving for them. I think I just need to eat some to get over it :P I also have a craving for sleep. I don't know what I'm still doing up.
  14. Totally agree...I pretty much hate most cities besides London (I make exceptions for Amsterdam and Rotterdam as well :P)
  15. North London, or a suburb of London. To be honest, though, I can only ever really see myself living in England or Connecticut. Even though I haven't been very many places, I feel like I love the area of America I live in now, and I've always LOVED London. I would also like to live in Iceland, at least for a year. I have a weird fascination with Iceland.
  16. TINA FEY. No questions there. Second choice would be Maggie Gyllenhaal. And then Rachel McAdams, but she's too...moviestarish/glamourous to play me, I think :P. Great question!
  17. I ALMOST BOUGHT THOSE! And the pins with cute faces on the food. But instead I got the monster stickers like that and owl pins :wacky:.
  18. WANT :wideeyed:. I have such a weakness for hoodies in general, but I could actually wear leggings with this without feeling like my ass was too exposed (pet peeve: when people wear leggings with no other ass-covering. Long shirt/tunic/dress/skirt, fine). My favorite hoodie is American Apparel too, so I know I'd love this. Maybe I'll save my food money in London...I assume they have a London location :P. But I really really want this and really really don't need this.
  19. I got that pencil case at Borders! But like two years ago... They have AWESOME stationery/pencil cases/everything from Paperchase :wacky:. I think Paperchase is based in London (though I don't know if they have Paperchase stores or if they're just products in stationery stores in general), so I'm going to go nuts when I get there :dead:.
  20. OMG THAT'S THE CUTEST THING EVER :dead: I've said it before and I'll say it again: I would love to be Gwyneth Paltrow for so many reasons. Thanks for the GIF!
  21. *Clears throat* I was bored, so...prepare for a total geek-out :uhoh: These are all my favorite pens :smart:. In the Yellow Submarine lunchbox are all my colored Sharpies and highlighters. Staedtlers, colored Uni-Balls, and Gelly Rolls are self-explanatory...inside the clear part of the purple pencil case are regular Crayolas. The other pencil case with all the cute animals on it has assorted pens & pencils (has anyone tried the new Sharpie pens? They're awesome!). My interesting post-its are on the right, and at the top are two Moleskines: the smaller black one is a daily diary (with an owl pin on it :nice:), and the bigger one is a paperback Moleskine cahier that I glued a cool magazine picture on and laminated...I plan to use that once I use up my current journal. So. There is my nerddom for all to see :disappointed: :P.
  22. Haha, I actually think that's really cute that she was on screen :nice:. I bet it wasn't intentional, but I just hope Chris doesn't find out :P.
  23. Wow, really? I had no idea! Not that there will be a car available for me to drive or anything like that, but perhaps if there was an emergency or something... However, I'd be more likely to CAUSE the emergency while driving--on a mostly-empty road, I would completely forget that I was supposed to be driving on the other side, and then another car would come along...:wreck:. Come to think of it, I'm actually terrified of having to drive on the other side.
  24. I needed a black skirt that actually fits me for something I have to go to tomorrow, so my mom brought home SEVEN, and I was supposed to pick ONE :wreck:. So turns out I'm keeping four (:sneaky:...I can actually use them a lot next year, though), three of which are high-waisted, which I've never had before. Does anyone have suggestions for the sorts of shoes and shirts to wear with high-waisted skirts (ones that I can tuck in)? I think I'll need a good pair of black pumps, which I don't have (though I'll probably buy them in England to cut down on the number of shoes I need to pack), and shirts...I'm kind of at a loss :P. I'm thinking something along these lines for shoes?: The fact that they're so high scares the crap out of me, though...I'm not supposed to wear high heels in the first place, and besides that, I simply CANNOT walk in them. These have 3.75" heels, and though I think I'd look the best wearing something high, I just won't be able to deal with it for that long. I'm thinking 2.5-3"? EDIT: I only found a picture of one of the skirts, just for reference, though it doesn't look that high-waisted in the picture :uhoh:: The other is a classic pleated high-wasted skirt, which goes to the knee, and the other is harder to explain, but it's high-waisted but shorter, and made of all these black ribbons sewn together...it's quite fancy. The last is just a casual, regular miniskirt that I could dress up or down, so it was worth keeping:
  25. I was actually expecting to have to sew my own makeshift sheets and towels, and I was going to ask what kinds of bugs and weeds most of you live off of. I also have to find out about digging my own latrine.
