  1. Reflection A sense of place takes its sweet time and saves nine lives that settle in time to realize our place in the land nature's garden to know to grow into the value of place to put to rest one's wheels To put to sleep one's worries.. smell the good earth to Dig with both hands, and watch the garden grow.

  19. That's cool Lore! I've got friends in Michigan, and that's the name of their first-born daughter! Is Ximena a common name in Chile?
  20. :thinking:Hmm.. Well, there are a number of possibilities.. One has to do with identity theft, which is unfortunately pretty common! (I know someone who had their identity stolen, and had their credit ruined. It was a nightmare! Hope this isn't the case!!). Then it could just be your dad's credit debt somehow showing up on your account, and with a different credit limit, it may be then frozen for your card(s). Or, it could be a system malfunction or error of some sort. I've had double debits recorded on my checking account (same check, but deducted twice) when the bank here switched over to a new system - so it does happen. Or, it could be someone with the same name, and the system somehow got crossed signals. This isn't supposed to happen, but it did happen to my Aunt once, since someone else used the same bank, and they both had the same names.. Today this ought not to occur, but then nothing's perfect or fool-proof. Good luck with it, and you might want to check with the credit bureau or to verify that it's not identity theft, as that's still an issue these days..somewhere:)
  21. I understand now! Sounds like all water under the bridge, so-to-speak.. Time for a rebuilding season.. And a new chairman? Is this possible?? Here, if your franchise really wants to be in the winnings, you simply cough up the dough, get a great coach and star players.. Not fair, but then that's the way it's been for a long, ,long time.. Ohwello, keep looking ahead Bart, and the sun will come out tomorrow!:sunny:
  22. Edel Weiss suds and greens.. I haven't any trouble with creativity today! Every time I get writer's block it's because of some rigid regiment I've had to deal with, or mundane routines.. It helps to go do something refreshing for a change, or hear music that moves - even to listen to the lyrics or the structure of the song - to really cherish the details draws out an inner fascination with the world again.. Like seeing for the first time in color, or hearing the first spring birds sing.. Get some good rest - it all gets better then!;) (I think it helps to really take in the lyrics in songs, especially those with real ballad qualities. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but just drawing on the "inspirational energy" of the music spurs new energy and vitality into what you're doing - lest I think so! Like a battery rechage for the spirit of sorts..:) Bea, "On Tap" is just an expression at bars here - it simply means which beers/wines/sodas/ect. are currently available from a dispenser at the bar. So, when someone uses the expression "what's on tap?" - it could mean anything - like what's the music you're listening to today, or what's todays agenda.. Or, what beverages are you drinking?;) No biggie - just an expression..
  23. :laugh3:I'm trying to picture a gym with that name.. Edelweiss Brewery and Fitness Center?? What a combo - catch some suds after the work-out! I think Edelweiss was brewed down in Chicago.. Otherwise, a mountain plant found at high elevations in the Alps, as I recall.. So, what's on tap at Bea's?
  24. But still, it's only one game, and the coach has no control over the fans, so is this a wise move, or just an expedient one?? Sounds a lot like here - you have to pay people off to satisfy their contracts, and then find someone new!! It is ridiculous, but then again, that's the nature of sports these days! But the fans were throwing chairs onto the field?? Hmm.. I've heard of cups, and sometimes someone tosses a frisbee onto a field here - chairs is very over-the-top. What were the circumstances? General frustration?? Bad call?? Well, one goal is better than none, and there's nowhere to go but up!
  25. Her hand as gentle as a warm spring breeze stroking my forehead, all just to please Kindness was a dove That settled next to me To hold an angel with velvet hand One that could for moments be The sweetness of her touch for all eternity..
