Did someone actually write this? I love clocks! The only bit I agree with is the part about "corporate pressure is enough to drive you weird and silly." I do feel that as they started promoting themselves more with X&Y and wanting to come out with an album that made them popular with the whole world and to fill stadiums it kind of changed them a bit... But, that they have no talent... whatever. Their music says it all... Granted I don't get their title names...like Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (maybe because I haven't heard the album yet) but that doesn't affect the music for me. I don't think Coldplay wants to be Radiohead and I don't want them to be like U2! I think it is funny that he even mentions the messageboard...he must be into Coldplay then if he even knows about us. :)

Yah, I am waiting to hear the album until it comes out on cd. Since they are from the UK, I think it is fair that it comes out their before here in the states. I hate that I have to wait, but it's not that big of a deal. I always wait! I just don't read what other people write about it for the most part until I have heard it. Granted sometimes you can't avoid some comments. But, for the most part it works. I have been tempted to listen to some before it comes out, but I usually just wait. The only songs I will listen to are the ones that the band has actually given listeners the opportunity to hear or download through their sites before an album comes out. I like the excitement of waiting and then buying the cd and popping it into my player and listening to it for the first time in its entirety. I enjoy listening to all the new songs together as an album.

For me... I loved "A Rush Of Blood To The Head!" That would probably be my first, then Parachutes and then X&Y. We will see how Viva la Vida is when it comes out! Omg...it's soon now!

Aww...I didn't know Jonny was in pain either! Wow. This article was great. It was nice to hear some insight on them about their last album X&Y. I didn't know, Viva La Vida was inspired by Frida Kahlo! I love when they say they don't want any more "self-plagiarism." That's too funny! Jonny probably thinks chicks always dig the bassists!

Wow that was a write up! :) Yah, I think its funny when Jonny gets back on track on the interviews when Chris goes astray (joking around)... He's like, okay lets be real now. I loved Jonny's comment when he says to Chris, "No...no (laughs) I was understating the fact you're wrong."

On my way back from work today I tuned in for a moment on 93.1 WXRT and all of the sudden I hear Frank E. Lee interviewing Chris & Jonny. I was like, "are they here in Chicago?" But, I think they were calling probably from England. I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but they have it on the website. we'll find out tonight! I thought they both performed really well yesterday. It was a fight for a finish. But, Archuleta did really well I think for all three songs. I can see his new song being something that I would here on the radio more. I think they both will do well, no matter whoever wins. I think David Cook is really nice and will do well with the rock thing. I thought Cook did U2s with or without your really well. His voice suited that song. Clive really knows how to pick them. I don't know who has more fans though. I guess that is the person that will win. I love Archuleta's rendition of Imagine! It's just beautiful. He was really on it yesterday...just like when he first started at the beginning of the show. We'll see...it is almost done! :D

I saw them here at a venue in Chicago. They were good live. Very upbeat and calipso like. I guess they are getting pretty popular now?...

It's United Center again, right? They should play a smaller venue... Yah, our tickets were alright last time, but they could've been closer. We got pretty good seats to the Alpine Valley show.

Awww...great stories. I would love to meet them, but I haven't been able to see them after a show at the venue... They are playing bigger places and just not doing the autograph thing, which kind of sucks. But, oh well. I think you do have to be at the right place at the right time. I would love to see a soundcheck or my dream is to see them in the process of making an album. Hopefully, maybe during this tour I will get a chance to meet them all.

I didn't see this thread. I saw it! :) ...I almost passed it up while fast forwarding through idol. I was like, did I see what I think I did...Coldplay. Sure enough, their was a commercial for their new single....

Did anyone see the commercial during idol yesterday. I almost missed it while fast forwarding. But, I saw out of the corner of my eye "Coldplay" and had to rewind. It was an apple commercial for their new single they will be selling. I think it was Viva La Vida.... lyrics were church cathedral bells....etc... sounded interesting...sounded like their old selves with a little dance vibe going on
