Not everyone reacts the same way their first time, that is to say some aren't as strong minded to stop at the first go, or even second etc. Thing you, the first time, you have that choice, all times to follow, you may not. It's a drug, designed to be addictive. I get where you're coming from and I'm all for the whole "you only live once so why not?" approach, but that doesn't and shouldn't apply to everything. I'm saying this simple because I've seen the effects long-term drug use can do. Long-term originating from short-term which comes down to the first time. It comes down to the person, each case may be different and instead of analyse each one, I stick to my general statement of simply not to do it.

When it comes to drugs, just say no. I've never done drugs so I'm no expert on whether you should take it or not. However, I do know that for very good reasons, I wouldn't touch the stuff. Besides the obvious problem of addiction (which can sometimes be the only problem to successfully ruin so much of your life), you have associated health problems to yourself, immediately and potentially. Why anyone who doesn't need it for medicinal purposes would use it is really beyond me. To enlighten their artistic side - sure, if that's reason enough to do it, then nor I or anyone else can tell you otherwise. Taking drugs is a choice. One that can potentially leave you in a worse position than when you first started. As for those who said they've used it, no one has actually come out and said it was the best thing or that it was so great that they'd do it again. Just remember, drugs are addictive. There is a reason why most drugs are illegal. If you don't need it, don't do it. If you're willing to take that chance, then do what you feel. You only live once and what you do is up to you, just remember, there are consequences, good and bad, and don't say no one warned you when the going gets bad, reports of its effects are on the news, internet - blah everywhere, even at a young age we are told: say no to drugs. My advice is to listen and learn.

the album must be in two parts. my guess is something similar to rhcp's stadium arcadium. a complete guess but that's what it appears to be. on the official site they refer to the album by both titles: viva la vida or death and all his friends as well as just viva la vida. the album cover art suggests it's the latter too. either way, i'm excited :)

I adore this song, I adore the lyics, I simple adore it all. Chris sings it beautifully, the backup is amazing, the instruments are truly something, the melody is hmmm...they've done it again! :)

favorite coldplay song...such a hard choice. it changes quite often but most of my top tracks are from arobtth. album speaks for itself. saw them live during the TLT. they were seriously 2m away from me. :nice: 'twas amazing!

i go there once a year to see my boyfriend, and he comes here to see me, though this year he wasn't able to make it so it's going to be a long winter :\ ^i'd still like to go to scotland too lol part of my whole fascination with the world up there. ^^ ah yes, the "perv" issue clarified lol i was wondering what all that was about lol.

makes me want to go to Paris lol. my long-term plans involve a visit to California during the end of year break. that's a while from now so i do wish time would fly. ^ good to know you're well. so far, it's a good night for all :)

oh, not a latest release movie. the last thing i saw at the cinemas was the other boleyn girl which was ok, but semi-depressing lol. i'll be seeing what's on the tv, but something tells me i'll be on here at the same time catching up on the coldplay news. i am seriously behind on all that's happened lol. ^ i never knew it was possible to get tired of Disneyland, but it's true! i know people who live in California and are totally sick of the amusement park...upon hearing that i'm like :stunned:, but i get it. sometimes for things to remain special, they should be visited infrequently.

^ lol what are the chances of a heatwave. ^^ if i could go to Paris...i'd so be there, but then again i've never visited Europe so anything up there fascinates me :tongue: No plans for me today. Down here in Australia it's 9pm so the rest of the night is left to dinner and a movie. May not be the most exciting of plans but oh well, atleast i've all got my health.

Definitely excited about the double album prospect. Hm, maybe a two album in one release like RHCP's Stadium Arcadium release. Either way, I'm bloody excited :dance:

How great to Barca! I'll still wait for '09 when they do decide to visit Australia though lol. If I didn't set plans earlier to visit California till November, I would definitely see that show in San Jose...whyyy?! lol Ah well, I will be eagerly awaiting their visit down under :D (^ Just say what you want and back it up, especially if it's a view that will clash with others. The day people have to start censoring themselves on here and can't say what they want, will be a very sad day indeed.)

Australia will be on their 2009 agenda, and that's something I'm willing to wait for :) Waiting only builds the anticipation. Though those venues....ay you lucky lucky bloody people!!!

Coldplay are an established band and like any band, they want to evolve and I'd like to think as fans, we should encourage change. You are a fan of Coldplay for many reasons, one being when you first heard them, they were different, caught your ear and all that, this is what they are doing to a new generation of fans. We being the long-timers here should expect that, want that. Goodness knows I adore heaps of their old classic tracks, but I wouldn't want to hear the same things over and over. Worse thing that could happen is for fans to get bored of the band. You may guarantee that ^ based on what I don't know, but I guarantee if they released an album that sounded like their previous albums, we'd all be calling for change. Can't please everyone as Chris said himself, so go with the flow and enjoy the ride - change is constant like all things, and that's here to stay, unlike you apparently which is unfortunate. Cheer up and we'll all take a chill pill :cool:

I've got roughly 6 weeks till exams so I'm not stressing yet. I hope I don't stress at all considering my exam timetable is quite great. Time will tell.
