I honestly dont think in this day and age in America, people would revolt if GW Bush didn't leave office. But its all rubbish, the guys keeping a low profile since hes going soon, he couldn't they just suspend power. But yes, in a state of emergency he does have the power. But this is far from an emergency yet, check of Britain, things are already improving. And why are people in here talking about the grim matter of the economy if they can't even get their letters in the right order?

I don't think either of them are as special as Viva La Vida. But yeah DOYS has some filler but it all fits together nicely. No denying the none single songs on this Cd are stronger than the none filler on any Oasis album for a while. Forth, its far more ambitious, far more professional, far more muscially brilliant, but Ashcroft's lyrics just arn't as good as they used to be. So both are good but not great CD's. I reckon Travis's new album surpasses them both (and that contains some duds as well)

I bought it, so far I really like everything up to I'm outta time. The rest of the album, I need to hear more of.

So what order do people think the songs go in. I still can't figure it out. The album is quality tho.

Yeah, same with Viva La Vida, mainly because Rolling Stone were completely idiotic in how the delt with VLV knocking it down for not making enough political statements. If you want a review to boil your blood give that a read.

I don't dislike all of DBTT but I found a lot of the songs very very dull. The Meaning of Soul, what could anybody like about that? the lyricals were dumb and the acoustic guitar had nothing intresting to it at all. Same with Love like a bomb...

The support act Republican Tigers played a set of about 11 songs. Then Travis came on after a 10 minute sound test. They played for about 2 hours.

You seem to share my views on Be here now being a great album and DBTT not being, so I reckon now DOYS would be worth buying. What do you make of Heathen Chemistry? I thought it was a great album, that just didn't have enough to it. Loads of good songs but too short and lacking any epics.

Right if Oasis fans hate it (especially those that liked the tripe they produced last time around - the singles of that album) im guessing i'll like this album. It seems Oasis are presenting their heavy wall of sound in a completely new way.

Saw them at Newcastle last night, great gig lasted about 4 hours including the opening act. Travis played 2 hours with no breaks, mostly their hits, some stuff from the new album and one song from Good Feeling and 12 Memeries. They played I kissed a girl and Why does it always rain on me as an oncore. Some people got so drunk they ended up having a fit and got escorted out. Gave me a chance to swipe one of the posters.

How can people honestly say Viva La Vida has defined music? its a good album yet, but I think you'll find its more copying ideas set by the Beatles (using foreign music ectra) to create an engaging pop record. I don't think its going to be anywhere near as influencial as the likes of Parachutes. But |I know you can't judge this just yet, give it a year.

I think Coldplay has to be there, now were drowning in bands that sound like AROBTTH era coldplay. The Beatles albums that should be there imo is Stg Pepper, its crazy experimentalism and the loose concept album were concepts invented then and there. And we still have bands trying to copy this albums formula. For inspiring though i think revolver should be there. Hell so should every Beatles album, no band did what they did. Now for albums that lead to a huge ammount of people grabbing guitar and starting a band. Well look at punk like The Clash's London Burning or the Sex Pistols (tho i hate them) Oasis / Nirvana helped raise guitar sales in the 90's and they both have their albums of critical praise. Hmm what else. 1. Stg peppers lonely hearts club band 2. London's Calling 3. Morning Glory 4. Nevermind 5. A Rush of blood 6. The bends (inspired most of the stuff of that decade in britain) 7 - 10 more beatles...

I found my own way to play it, far more fun. Capo on 4th fret, alternate between G, D, C, G... Chorus is C, Em, D I keep it simple so I can play around with the strum. Total blast to play, loudly.

If the tickets haven't arrived by today im just going to see what the company (dunno the name my mother bought em) will either refund me so I can buy some more tickets from the box office. Im assuming they arn't sold out.

Music makes me not sleep. For me I have music on all day, always have an ear in on my mp3. I don't see the point of doing something without music to accompany it. Means to keep me from getting sick I need to consume a lot of music. I've almost filled up my mp3 with 8gb's of songs I actually listen to. Its got to the stage if im in the cinema and I realise the film im watching sucks, ill just put my headphones on quietly.

Ok, worried now. Rang up the company, they haven't recieved the tickets yet. Im supposed to see them on Thursday. So how the hell/no fuck can we realistically expect them to arrive in time. Customer service says theres nothing they can do. Bullshit! Anyone else in the same boat?

Hmm, a charity shop a good place to get very cheap CD's? My latest purchase would be Starsailor's love is here. Sounds a bit like coldplay, but the singers not as good.
