When are the Verve on?

Their first or second are the best, their sound has changed over the career so I'd just start at the best.

Nope thats you really. :embarassed: The opening track quickly bored me nice as Oasis's drums are and always have been. Mucky Fingers is skippable and irritating. Lyla is alright for a while but it doesn't have the replay value of 'The importance of being...' Love like a bomb / God thinks im abel / Meaning of soul are all boring and forgettable mainly because their all over the place lyrically and musically. The last 4 tracks arn't bad (Let there be love is a classic) but the other 3 sound very similar. Overall I would take Let there be love and Importance of being, then dump the rest of the album in the wide collection of Oasis's tracks post 90's that are barely worth listening to. Definatly maybe only had a few great songs, but at least the rest of the album held up with thinks like Shakermaker somehow not sucking but simply being a change of pace between Rock and roll star and Live forever. Morning Glory was a beast of an album, Be here now had its moments of mediocrety but still holds up higher than this one.

Since DBTT was not a return to form for me Im not sure if i'll bother with this one.

Not exactly a music video, my life long ambition is to be a director of films and for now this is as close as I can get. So this is my action movie / music video for the Muse song KOC. Only constructive critism please. Nor has Radiohead / Muse / U2 ectra Pink Floyd amazingly got a No1, which I never understood.

My mate reckons Yes is ruined by the low registrar. Im inclined to disagree Chris's voice always sounds like its straining Yes it actually sounds comfortable for him.

He obviously wrote it on his blog where people would whole heartidly agree with him? then posted it here for kicks. Well what rocks about Yellow? 1... the explosing guitar line 2... the stomping, crunching and bouncyness of the song 3... the lyrics, Martin is a great song writer 4... the video, so simple so beautiful. I think your forgetting what Coldplay is about, Martin can only be true to himself, write about his experiences and he does it with some of the most gloriously simplistic imagry since The Beatles. And lets face it if the Beatles came out now with music in this state its in everyone would be dissing them for how banal, simple and untalented they are. When everyone else knows just how sometimes simple music is the best. Coldplay has brought something new to the world of pop music, they've innovated (thats why everyone is copying them) and yet stayed true to themselves. I aplaud music with the humanity left in, even Martin's voice is relatable not too strong but suits their music.

Been playing this one today, got the futhest I've got with a song yet. Nice basic riff with a change of chord at the end. Not sure on the exact riff I just play what sounds right (guess thats the best way) For the chorus tho what can you do? play faster, play harder? or are there new chords? Which string do I not hit for Cm the fattest or the thinnest?

He thought he was gay, but seriously this is what Coldplay do. They're the kind of band who don't want to be taken seriously and they acomplish that in spades. If I have one issue with Coldplay live its how distant the other 3 feel and how Chris's voice isn't all that great. It can soar no doubt but when it does its not quite as nice as Thom Yorke, Richard Ascroft or Fran Healey.

I love the Crazy Frog, never before has something so awful proved so popular with the idiotic cd buying public. Remember in the short 2 months of this 'fad' they pushed 2 singles, 1 EP, 2 best ofs and 2 christmas specials. Theres a great post on last.fm. 'My kid begged me for the crazy frog this christmas, I decided to just dissapoint him, he will understand when hes older' Anyway how is Viva la Vida doing so well when it hasn't been released? I bet EMI and Coldplay are kicking themselves it hasn't been released as a single yet would have greatly improved the chances.

I've been told that, I've looked at it though and I can't pick out the acoustic rhythm of the song. Would be a great one to learn tho but I cant find any nice sheet music (I can only read chords so far) Of all the Radiohead songs I want to learn that and Fake Plastic Trees are top priority.
