yeah that was the one qualm i had about making this comparison. radiohead have developed a reputation based on what theyve done since OK computer so its hard to compare the two bands without even thinking about their other works. but nevertheless at the moment arcade fire is the only band i can see from this current crop of "young" artists who might one day reach the heights of radiohead. if i have forgotten someone i would love to be enlightened.

^^ but as a whole. the 3 arcade fire works against the first 3 radiohead albums, its a pretty close call. i know ok computer trumps all of them. but you can argue that all 3 arcade fire albums beat the bends and forget about pablo honey.

^^ i dont get it. crowded house did shows at the enmore theatre (2500 seater) just last month but the tour previous they did the entertainment centre (12 000 seater) and now they're playing at the hordern (5500). wtf is going on!! i dont get the constant venue size changes. new jmag in the mail today. man those guys are desperate for attention. yet another SEX issue, the second in less than 6 months i think.

man the crowd went nuts to hot chip and from alot of the reaction ive been reading after the gig a great deal of people preferred hot chip to lcd. im really not sure what they saw in them. even though i LOVE their latest album, i thought they sounded a little messy and incoherent live.

i'll keep this short and simple monday night. hordern pavilion. sydney. sold out. lcd soundsystem. last ever sydney show. 100min set. jaw dropping beginning to end. best show ever? i'll make up mind at the end of the year.

im a massive fan of their second album, ive been listening to it almost daily now. but i cant buy into their first album. theyve made a bit of a transition between the two which i guess is interesting.
