The Libertines, Oasis, and Blur... three bands who I have a foolish hope of some day being able to see, although it's pretty near impossible.

Pretty much agreed with these comments. I've never understood why this song is played at nearly every Coldplay show still. Where are the real classics, like Shiver, Don't Panic, Warning Sign, and A Rush of Blood to the Head??

Parachutes is just such a pure album. Every song on there is blissful. AROBTTH has some amazing tracks, and I love it, but Parachutes is just a better listen for me. I can listen to it no matter what kind of mood I'm in, at any time of day, on any day of the week, in any place. For me, Coldplay's albums have gotten progressively worse. Parachutes > AROBTTH > X&Y > VLV

I'm expecting this to be a great year for music (largely due to the fact that Radiohead is finally back to put out what I feel could be their best album). Of the bands who will likely release a new album, I'm most excited about these: Radiohead The Strokes U2 Kasabian Franz Ferdinand Cut Copy RHCP Coldplay (although I have a gut feeling it will be another disappointment) Foo Fighters The Kooks Snow Patrol Passion Pit Silversun Pickups The Presets Other bands who could potentially release an album later in the year: The Killers Blur Noel Gallagher (let's keep our fingers crossed that he's been working on something) I hope Beady Eye's album crashes and burns, considering some of the comments Liam has been making about how they're going to be bigger than Oasis.

Turn on the Bright Lights is just amazing.

5 or so, and it's left a much better first impression than any other so far this year. I didn't like many. 2011 will be an incredible year. I feel like going into the Coldplay section and just writing "ew coldplay" in every thread.
