  1. Really dissapointed... But i believe the epic songs for the old Coldplay fans will be on that album, they just bring the singles which could catch new fans....like ETIAW and Paradise... But we can hope for Charlie Brown, HLH and some surprises....
  2. If 11 songs will be on that album here my wish list: 1. 2. 3. Moving to Mars 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Charlie Brown 11. Us Agains The World
  3. Yes and that's why i hope they let it sound as it was played live. A briliant song...one of those i would like to see on LP5.
  4. ....and Us against the world ;)
  5. This song belongs to LP5. Pure CP without any electronic stuff, just voices and instruments....
  6. 8/9 great song but again a too short one....
  7. Yeah reminds me of Bowie and Pink Floyd....great song but too short. Maybe on LP5, most likely !
  8. I don't know but after the release of MM yeterday i've lost much of my exptactation. I still hope MTM will be a brilliant song, however the new way mixing up the songs does not delight me.
  9. In my opinion too many songs are too short (most of them 3-4 min). I miss all the instrumental sections that give the songs more space to develop. I really miss those long songs like AROBTTH and Spies or Amsterdam....since VLV they changed the type of their songs to more complex and faster songs.
  10. 6/10....you can hope it will be a b-side The live version started hopefully but it bacame a song without any moments for etenerity. I'm dissapointed. Maybe MTM will be the ONE we are waiting for.
  11. Could be my statement ! ;)
  12. I don't think the songs heard last concerts will be on the next album except 1-2....Major Minus seems to be on LP5. It sounds too good. And i expect the release of LP5 won't be before next year (apr-jun). Currently CP is checking out the sound and the feedback. I don't hope we already heard 4-5 songs from the next album. In this case it would be very dissapointing.
  13. I have to agree. This Song is timeless, emotional, dramatic. It has everything. One of my Top 3 Songs. Unbelievable to hear it live. :shocked2:
  14. My highlights yesterday: Cemeteries Of London - Chris' incredible voice performance and the instrumental part are much better then on the album. Politik - fantastic, one of my best 3 CP songs but listen to it live gives me a happiness that is hard to describe. All in all a great concert, in some parts to loud but the song list was perfect. I just missed Amsterdam and AROBTTH but they can't play all the stuff ;)
  15. 41- Strawberry Swing 28- Viva La Vida 28- Death and all his friends (+) 18- Cemeteries of London (-) 9 - 42
  16. Square One vs. Life in Technicolor: Life in Technicolor What If vs. Cemeteries of London: What If White Shadows vs. Lost!: Lost ! Fix You vs. 42: Fix You Talk vs. Lovers in Japan: Talk X&Y vs. Reign of Love: Reign Of Love Speed of Sound vs. Yes: Speed of Sound A Message vs. Chinese Sleep Chant: Chinese Sleep Chant Low vs. Viva la Vida: Viva La Vida The Hardest Part vs. Violet Hill: The Hardest Part Swallowed in the Sea vs. Strawberry Swing: Swallowed in the Sea (pretty close) Twisted Logic vs. Death and All His Friends: Death and All His Friends 'til Kingdom Come vs. The Escapist: 'til Kingdom Come X&Y:7 VLV:6
  17. X&Y was an album with great melodies and great anthems thus CP became more popular and succesful in the world. The music hat a spheric touch. VLV is definitely better than Parachutes but if it has the power to beat the last two albums depends on how it develop after more listenings. Im my opinion VLV has no many big hits but also no really weak song. It is more balanced.
  18. tesseract replied to Maloo's topic in Lost!
I did not expect the album version would beat the acoustic one but it does. The rhythmand mainly the amazing guitar solo make Lost! to one of the best of this album.
  19. review after some hearings: Life in Technicolor: 4/5 very good instrumental but not revolutionary Cementaries of London: 4/5 nice but not top Lost ! : 5/5 Great, did not expect it could beat the acoustic one but the guitar solo is amazing 42: 5/5 the first half just perfect maybe 6/5 but the second part make it not better Lovers in Japan: 3/5 not yet grown on me Reign of Love: 4/5 i like it very much....it's different with great atmosphere Yes: 4/5 a little bit dissapointing for me Chinese Sleep Chant: 5/5 awesome....maybe an insider tip Viva La Vida: 5/5 maybe the song that gets most popular of this album Violet Hill: 3/5 to heavy in some parts...an experiment which coldplay should discard Strawberry Swing: 4/5 Good but not good enough for a hit Death and all his friends: 4/5 great in some parts 5/5 The Escapist: 4/5 good close....reminds me of Pink FLoyds Albums "Animals"/"WIsh you were here" i a sense that the same song open and close the album
  20. best: Lost!, Chinese Sleep Chant worst: Violet Hill
  21. One of the best songs on VLV. I like the instrumental parts of this album.
  22. Coldplay should work more on instrumental songs as pink floyd did in the 70s. LIT proves that CP are great musicians. Also the technique of fading one song to the next one makes the album great. It is almost a concept album.
  23. Cemeteries of London 17 Lost! 6(+) 42 17 Lovers in Japan 9 Reign of Love 3 Yes 15 Chinese Sleep Chant 8 Viva la Vida 10 Violet Hill 10 (-) Strawberry Swing 15 Death and All His Friends 14 The Escapist 5
