  1. I am wondering what the keyboard Chris and Jonny use live for Viva is? Chris also uses it for Lovers. It has inverse keys. Thanks!
  2. A Sort Of Homecoming (live) - U2 Those who are educated know its Chris' fav U2 track and often played it to unborn Apple
  3. A great birthday present indeed! My Favorite track being released to the world! Also I Believe this will be a huge track for them as well. I recently saw LiT on a top 100 list or two. and LiT ii is so much better! ITs gonna be huge guys!
  4. LiT ii all around is amazing! the line of Viva La Vida though: Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground. When you try your best but dont succeed All of The Scientist, Politik and Hardest Part
  5. It was middle of the road for me. Seemed more like Kyle ft. Chris to me. Truth is U2s song was way better! Its only getting me jacked up for their new album. Sorry Boys but Youre older brothers are coming home!
  6. Ive chimed in before I believe. But LiT ii is brilliant! I loved absolutely loved LiT and quite often defended it with my friends as the best VLV track. Chris is not the only one to vastly improve on this last album. All of them did. Jonny has never played guitar with such confidence and well for Jonny complication. Will and Guy have developed a great rythm section that pulls the band along.
  7. I would be very angry if the Chicago show got released! It was way to early in the tour to even consider it. They weren't on form yet, they hadn't learnt the songs. More importantly its a selective set list! I want Postcards, Glass of Water, CoL. My bet is they will do it on home turf in the UK on the Stadium tour. Wembley is where it will be.
  8. Lucky guys! Jay opening will be amazing! Let me tell you that. Ive seen him open for Coldplay before and Im not a huge Jay-Z fan. That man is AMAZING live. He put on a better show than Coldplay...probably cause I expected a lot from the boys. They were still amazing. Jay-Z is stellar and will provide a great show opening! Plus some Lost! and Beach Chair!
  9. Personally I tried to head for the main stage. Although it wasn't a stadium or arena setting. They have 2 b-stages that GA can get to to my understanding...although Im sure they'll have a larger stage for the stadium. Personally I'd go to the front
  10. they didnt like 4 minutes bass intros. Day and Age deserves to be right next to VLV. And Kings should be lower. No offense.
  11. Yeah its annoying to try to cover... Im getting better with my thumb. I can effectively mute my top two strings now. Anyone tabbed out the Capo version?
  12. Chris has always said he cant write solo. Jonny, Will and Guy help him more than anyone could imagine. People who do well in bands never do well solo...look at Cornell. Amazing in Temple of the Dog, pretty damn good with Soundgarden, and a modren rock god with Audioslave. Now he is a nobody solo. Chris would never leave his best mates. He's just playing games
  13. Coldplay have made a full comeback from X&Y! Glass of Water is downright one of their best tracks. Not only from the EP or VLV era...but down right ever. It is in my top 5 already! ITs up there with Yellow, Politik, Scientist, In My Place and Clocks. Some how it blends most of those track together! I wonder how they'll pull off the two guitars live. This will be one they play for the rest of time
  14. They wont retire. They love it to much! Remember at the MTV Europe awards a few years back. They were taking time off then...or so they said. They started recording a month later. They might pull a U2 end of the 80s style thing. Disappear and change everything up. I think they'll relax a bit. But Chris cant even take a day off without hitting a studio (Roadie 42). They wont retire anytime soon. DO NOT WORRY
  15. So I decided to put PM right after VLV, and The Escapist works perfectly going into LiT ii. Minus the fade out, if it were massed together like some of the LiT ii mixes, it would be brilliant to come out for a sneak encore on. Try listening to VLV right into PM, its actually amazing.
  16. Well after listening to it non-stop all day, my educated reaction: LiT ii - No change, this version is amazing! One of Chris' best works musically and lyrically, yes it may be poppy. But it is brilliant! Next #1 single for the boys. And I cant wait to hear it live if they roll back into Canada. Glass of Water - This is classic Coldplay! Rhythmic, Melodic and rocking. This is the first song I will compare to the God that is Politik! When I first heard it a few months back, I said the studio has the possibility to be better than Politik. And well this is the VLV era Politik. I can not get enough of this song, it has everything that Coldplay is...and amazing lyrics to boot Rainy Day - The coolest most unique sounding Coldplay song...ever. They explore new territory and it pays off HUGE! One of their best. Even if we can understand it. Prospekts March/Poppyfeilds - I like to call this sonf Episode 6...Return of the Coldplay! This song shows off what Chris and the boys do perfectly. His lyrics are getting even better and better. And the Parachutes era sound is so raw and amazing. Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground - Reminds me of my favorite X&Y song...Kingdom Come. Short and sweet, and very very strong. If this is the last song they release I would be satisfied and proud to be a Coldplayer. Remixs - Opinion the same. My comments are that this is what I was looking for with VLV! This is old Coldplay meets Brian Eno. This proves to me that the more time you spend producing a song, the more you lose the feel of it. Most of these songs are under produced compared to VLV. Thats why it is brilliant. Too often now a days, artist spend so much time in the studio trying to perfect their sound, they lose the brilliance of the songs. I hope for LP 5 next year. They take a Parachutes/AROBTTH/Prospekts March approach to making the album not a X&Y/VLV where they focus to much on production. They need to let the music take them places and not the opinions of critics. Then and only then will they give us an album that will define them. Mark my words, if they do it right, next year we will get our generations Joshua Tree. The rock album to define the decade. Coldplay will be up there with The Beatles, Stones, U2 and Nirvana. Music is waiting for Coldplay to break it wide open.
  17. LiT ii - AMAZING, everything I expected for my favourite VLV song...and more Postcards From Faraway - Awesome, just like live and brilliant, wish Chris would do more of this Glass Of Water - Holy god this song is awesome! Rainy Day - Got a WTF out of me at first...but this is just great! The strings and Chris are once again brilliant Prospekts March/Poppy Feilds - Havent listened Lost + - Nothing new for me, Jay adds to it in my opinion Lovers (Osaka) - Great new mix w/o Reign Now My Feet Wont Touch The Ground - Not there yet.
  18. Been an awesome night for sure. Thanks a ton Jizo. But be sure to go back to KMART and relay the message!
