LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
This shot makes me pretty excited, and excited about the music video not the song cause I already know how it will sound like. I think it's a really cool to have the band move through the crowded narrow streets rather than just standing around jumping up and down. I'm even hoping for a "long take"! Now that would be amazing!

I'm sorry but this post is extremely ignorant and offensive. I thought someone should point this out to you.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
As I predicted, MX part 2 is upon us. I'm also convinced the song they're recording the video for is very similar to ASFOS. In fact the whole album will be a fusion of Paradise and ASFOS.

IMAGINE, just imagine the band sounding like that again! I still have some hope for LP8.

Nothing we don't already know, but still a pretty interesting video regardless of how much he talks about the band:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I thought the U2 album is tremendous. But I definitely agree with your point. Absolutely. There is not much time left and I'm sure they need to get together to rehearse and decide how the set will look and what songs to play.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I get the impression the band are still on break. In terms of album production process bands usually do not go on break if they've entirely completed the album. They do so to get some time away from each other and the studio so they can return feeling refreshed and possibly full of new ideas to work on. I still think they might preview a song during the festivals but I predict the album will be released late Q1 2016 with a world tour to follow starting in the summer.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
It wouldn't be disappointing. And it's certainly not impossible. As I said before they MIGHT preview a song or two during the festivals. But I'm not expecting more. I don't mind it anyway if they need more time to polish the album I'm happily prepared to wait as long as it takes. Remember that we should all be prepared for a hiatus after LP7 is done and over with. A hiatus which is looooooooong overdue.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Oh please! We've had this conversation so many times on here over the years. It's not gonna happen! They might do a reggae album, they might do some rap or r&b or whatever is popular in the next few years; but the Coldplay of old is no more. All hope is not lost though. With Ghost Story and Major Minus they proved they're consistent in providing at least one song on each album which is reminiscent of their older work. And this one song is the only thing I'm looking forward to with AHFOD ;)

First Single Predictions!
Sonically I think the first single will be Paradise meets ASFOS.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I taught myself the Chris Martin I knew in 2003 is not the same man in 2015. And I've finally accepted it. Others should do the same. He is just like any other human being who goes through evolution of thought and opinion. It's just that his and the band's transformation has been more drastic and radical than you would normally expect. We all have to accept that he's now entirely open to all types of music and takes pleasure in not constraining himself to categorize music or conform to the usual genre-obsessive commotion. He might be well into Justin Direction or Lady Minaj or that Snoop Z guy. And we better accept the fact Coldplay could possibly work with these people in the future.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
As long as people fall for it they will exist. I wouldn't mind if they stopped making videos altogether at this point. Ghost Story was their only worthy video for absolutely years.

[Poll] Best track on AROBTTH? 13 years on
I still haven't voted, mainly because it's too difficult. The whole album is a masterpiece and the songs work together and compliment each other so well it's the only album ever for me where I cannot single out a track as the "best". I guess this is to be expected with the best album of all time.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
They MIGHT preview a song at the festival. But until then we shouldn't expect anything. I don't understand where people get the idea from that the album is about to be released! If I remember correctly previewing songs at live events started prior to releasing VLV. They played Chinese Sleep Chant and a couple of other songs and I was going mental with excitement. It definitely felt like a new chapter in their career.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Guys I totally understand and appreciate your enthusiasm and anticipation but we've had so many of these "anonymous sources" down the years and people still fall for it. Based on facts and evidence I personally think it's way way too early to expect anything. I also think the less you think about it the more joyful and surprising any official announcement becomes. :)

Worst Coldplay Songs Ever!
I disagree with every single post you have made on this thread. I also oppose the thread itself as I find it utterly meaningless and irrelevant. This is the kind of stuff you'd find on Daily Mail album reviews. If you or anyone else as an individual hates or dislikes a song it doesn't take away any credit from that particular song. It doesn't make it bad. It doesn't make it the "worst" Coldplay song. You can express critique of the music based on valid constructive points and your own musical knowledge and favored parameters, i.e. how the song is structured, the production, melody, rhythm etc. "I like this" or "I hate this" doesn't prove anything about any songs or how they're musically rated.

Happy 13th Birthday A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD
DAMN you I wanted to start this thread! My obsession with the band began when this album was released and what an epic roller-coaster ride it's been. I still retain that AROBTTH is their best album to date and one of the greatest albums of all time. I've lived and breathed this album for so long it's become my life's soundtrack. I think a large number of people fail to understand the attachment that many people feel to the Coldplay of this era which somewhat explains the DEtachment one experiences with their output for the past 8 years.

Did you actually read my entire post or just that one last sentence? Anyway they say high blood pressure isn't good for you so I hope you didn't get worked up about anything I said

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I know its entirely off topic, but this is actually a really valid point and one that's been raised a few times on here by myself included. The phenomena started right after VLV was released. I know it's not unique to Coldplay but it's more dominantly felt in their concerts. More so than in live events of the more established bands and artists of a higher caliber like U2 or The Stones or Springsteen or Anathema or Radiohead etc. Nowadays when you go to a Coldplay concert I would say only about 2 to 8 percent will probably know their entire discography; which is horrendous. A huge number of them aren't even aware Coldplay existed before 2008! This is because Coldplay is the definition of a multi-generational band. They repeatedly abandoned and alienated their core fanbase to appeal to a wider audience with every album since AROBTTH. This effect will of course hugely alter their legacy and how they'll be remembered.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
If the album is how we imagine it to be don't you guys agree they should try to recreate the feel and complexity of Up with the Birds and DLIBYH (marginally the better songs on MX, with heavier and more dominant drums, bass and guitar and overall more resonant of Coldplay) rather than doing songs similar to ASFOS or Paradise which are clearly more geared towards the mainstream pop and EDM crowd? We know Coldplay can do upbeat and positive songs but they don't have to be bland and meretricious or outright clichéd.
