    netflix peanut butter or nutella?
  2. Interesting question. Who knows..I always kinda perceived it as them paying attention to what he is saying. especially after GS I kinda have a feeling the other 3 band members are quite protective of Chris. He is also the spokesman and all and I always see them as quietly encouraging him along.
  3. Jonny´s magic always lifts a song...he is just amazing. Thats my favourite part too musically of Hymn! :) Kinda also reminds me of how he shows up at the end of the Scientist and just makes it epic.
  4. Hehe, well my question was directed to all the members who are gonna pop into this thread. I am kinda hoping to find more who are vinyl collectors and have Coldplay albums :) And yes it went off topic with the cozy chat :) Probably also due to the fact this thread is not so popular...yet. im not giving up on it haha
  5. How many Coldplay vinyls do you guys have? I miss the first 3 albums, but I Have pretty much everything from Viva onwards I think, even the cute Violet Hill vinyl that was released for free with Q magazine I think it was ?
  6. Well being a fan of XMTS, its I guess in a way heartwarming to know it´s not everyone´s least favourite song from AHFOD haha :)
  7. Midnight was the first song we heard from Ghost , but it was released as a single later on. The first single was Magic.
  8. It veers on the cheesy a million times, thats true. But I think the lyrics are still poignant and sincere and the ending is quite nice too. Listening to it sometimes I feel like when looking at those photos where a different figure appears according to how you view it: so if I view it a certain way its cheesy and boring, if I view it the other way its a sweet endearing ballad about the end of a journey, finally an "amazing day", a reunion after much struggle.

Love the sunrise part as well. Not my favourite though. My favourites are all the analogies/metaphors in the verses.
  10. I believe "every teardrop" was the lead single for Mylo.
  11. Where did you find the lyrics for "you can say what is..." part? They look exactly as I hear them, but just for the record I´d like to know where to find them on the lyrics sheet, cuz I cant seem to.
  12. Lovely interview, thanks for posting! So glad it was not dubbed :)
  13. *LOL* You mean they will "put their hands up to the sky" in despair? hehe :P And yeah I am one of the (few?) who actually like the track :)
  14. ^^ A stand-alone song for Christmas *LOL* Well you have a point. It does sound a like Christmas-like and akin to the vibe of Christmas Lights. But I guess that was the point...they said they wanted to go for some "classic" sound like they saw in Back to the Future hehe
  15. I just dont like when some opinions are considered less legitimate than others, when we all equally view the world through our small personal lens. I´ve always found so far there is some truth in each opinion. Sometimes we are too busy trying to defend ours instead of seeing what others are trying to say...I just dont like belittling anyone, that to me is going too far.
  16. Well its not really a question of which artist we like. :) My point was that those were all respectable artists and that the Superbowl has not only featured Britney Spears *lol* I mean if its good enough for Sir Paul , its good enough for Coldplay *lol*
  17. Sorry to hear that :/ But I do understand. By changing genres as they do, it´s bound not to resonate with everyone. However I would not "lose hope" altogether if I were you in getting back the kind of music you like hehe I honestly think they will go a total different direction after AHFOD. It would not make sense to continue on the MX style entirely. They are bound to change it up. I personally would not like another synth-heavy album, though I do love all the tunes, so we shall see what they´re gonna do.
  18. So you´re saying all the aforementioned artists also made a mistake by saying yes to perform? :) I agree with you though, the emphasis is definitely not on the music itself, but on the show as a whole. Its not like seeing the band perform in an obscure garage only with their four instruments hehe But then there are plenty of live shows to enjoy the music fully. Here I think artists not only accept to come because its a huge platform and so many people will be watching/be exposed to the music, but also because its an opportunity to do something creative and unique with the choreography, so I am sure its also fun for them to plan the setlist and all that :)
  19. Yeah, I hear ya. But I really think she did a wonderful job on the track. She can pretty much use her voice however she pleases in light of her range and ability. Who else would you have seen on Hymn instead? :)
  20. My mum mentioned Coldplay are gonna play the finale of X-Factor in Italy too in a few days. I have no link to confirm this though.
  21. Oh some great ideas here for the setlist/show. I cant wait to see what they will do! Some songs I´d like to see being performed and I also think are likely to be (in no particular order) -Sky Full of Stars -Paradise -Adventure -Hymn -Viva -Clocks Most of all I am looking forward to how they are going to stage the whole thing :)
  22. Not sure why they would be criticised to perform on a such a huge platform that have previously featured all sorts of musicians, from Bruce Springsteen to The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2, Prince etc.
  23. Dont we all look at the world through our own lens? No one excluded :) But no I am not the kind of fan who blindly supports whatever a band does, hardly. It just so happens Coldplay have done really nothing "wrong" in my eyes so far. To say that all old Coldplay fans only enjoyed their early alt-rock sound is also quite a presumption :) Ultimately you dont know Coldplay the people, I dont know them either. We can only draw conclusions from what we feel/see. You seem clearly quite upset and disappointed they dont play the music you like and I get that. But I stand by what I said: I believe they keep playing and releasing what they want and the only person they need to desperately please or they won't release a thing is ultimately Will *LOOL*
  24. A geographic place? No I dont have only one, though Denmark is my country where I feel I belong most. Metaphorically speaking, yes I found the place I belong to but I am not able to be there yet. :/ Have you ever been to a Disneyland Park ? :)
  25. I must admit I only own two Beyonce songs LOL I am not a fan either, but even I cant really deny her voice is truly angelic on Hymn. I dont know many other female artists who could have done a better job singing those lines in that particular context of the "angel theme".
