1. Yeah but its also true to me that the synth drums contribute to the somber feel of GS. I especially think of the sonar-like effect in "Oceans", which is really fitting the song. And yeah I am also happy organic drums are back in some of the songs in AHFOD :)
2. God yeah probably true LOL I was thinking there were real drums in ASFOS, but I was mistaking it with the live version haha (which I like so much better btw)
3. My comment was solely about the dancing, not about the type of music. That Chris dancing is seen as frivolous and unserious and not respectable. The Chris sitting on the piano singing Everglow or Trouble is not more respectable to me than the Chris jumping around during ASFOS. That was just my point and opinion. And I dont consider Coldplay as mainstream pop shit.
4. It can be so frustrating haha But on the positive side you dont waste any tissues hehe Though apparently it might be in our hormones. I actually read this some time ago: "There are several studies over the years that have shown that men have larger tear ducts in their eyes, so that it is less likely for the tears to well up to the point of spilling over the eyelid onto the cheek" And also that testosterone inhibits crying. I kinda felt better after reading that, cuz I truly feel so emotional sometimes Im thinking im about to cry but I can not hehe So I was like whats wrong with me? hehe
5. God no haha I have this weird thing for example where I get very emotional but only one or two tears would fall and sometimes they dont even make it out of the eye *LOL* So weird :)
6. Wow nice! So cool to see all the trees, also cuz I have none here with me.
7. Interesting! Cool that you listened so closely. I have not done so yet. I just noticed there was a mix of songs from the album but not how many or which. And yeah interesting to find out how many and why they picked those. Maybe they picked the most represantive ones? Not sure the seven could be the case, but who knows :) And I have synesthesia. I think the sound/color association is called chromestesia. I´ve recently discovred I had it like 2 years ago. Each musical note pops up a distinct color to me for example. And I am also extremely picky in the colours I surround myself with because they have such strong impact and kinda have to be in sync with my emotions/mind. Its quite odd but also cool I think. I like it :)
8. Oh boy...*lol* Too many to mention? haha What happens to me at least is that a song or even an interview would strike a chord with me in a particularly relevant time of my life where I not only can relate completely but its like it speaks to me personally! So it ends up being quite emotional for me. It mostly happens with songs, but I also remember getting emotional watching Chris talking to Lowe during the GS interview for example. Songs move me because I relate so closely in that time I hear them/they come out basically. I´ve experienced an uncanny sync with their releases for a few years now.
9. Yeah, I figured as much. It was close to New Moon when the new moon was spotted/highlighted on the site. Pretty neat though! I love these seemingly random but cool details :)
10. Viva sold much more, but it was also another time for the music industry I think. However AHFOD is selling better than both MX and GS, according to the Atlas tweets: "Coldplay's #AHFOD has now sold more UK copies than Ghost Stories or Mylo Xyloto did in their 1st week of sale"
11. Oh I totally get your rant! hehe Im gonna have to look again at my local Barnes to see how the situation is there. I know that on the day of release they only had four vinyls of the album (dunno about the CDs), but then a few days ago I noticed finally their vinyl homepage had a big Coldplay ad on the front, so I hope it starts appearing in the stores soon. It would be odd if it didn't. Maybe they are just slow with stuff? hehe
12. Lovely small tree with nice colours ! :)
13. *LOL* Ok..I´ll come with more hints :) This is the same song, just in another concert. Maybe some of you will recognise the background? :)
14. Just saw the video on twitter. Wow those monkeys can spin! haha I love how Chris always touches his heart at the end of the performance and smiles so big. :) I cant wait to see those laser lights live during the tour :)
15. Nope not Talk.
16. If you loved that you should definitely check her out :) try her latest lp: Honeymoon :)
17. Oh I had no idea they mentioned Lana in this song for Fearne! haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGozNRMdo-E
18. When you had listened to Amazing Day somewhat unenthusiastically many times before and even thought it was a bit cheesy and then you listen to it on an actual "amazing day" where something wonderful happened and you find yourself tearing up at the bridge :)
19. Hmm ok I may be wrong, but I dont think Chris stands up during Fix you usually hehe But no its not Fix You :)
20. New hint. From the same song :)
21. It is X&Y era and sorry for the bad quality :/ But the song is not X&Y :)
22. No and no hehe :) I mean no its not the Parachutes or the Rush era. :)
23. Any guesses? :)
24. No! Wow...major headache haha But cool in a geeky way.
25. oh yes! I saw it only once or twice if I recall, but it was so pounding your heart jumped out of your chest! hehe
