  1. Was this comment directed to me? :) Wow thanks for the advice haha But the truth is that I need more cyber time LOL I´ve finally been able to post online again these past 1-2 weeks after, I dont know, forever! So its been really nice :) I honestly only have...well no I dont have any online friend now that I think of it! haha Most of my friends are in Denmark, some all over the world I met during my many travels, so yeah not much cyber going on here *LOL* My life has unfortunately been keeping me busy for too long and the rare free time I have I dedicate to seeing my friends in the city I live in. So yeah these weeks have been the veritable exception to the rule for me haha But I am enjoying it :D I am also very far from home right now , in the States, so nice to connect to the online community now that I have a chance :)
  2. Having a marathon in anticipation of VII? :) Your post just reminded me that its coming out soon!
  3. I actually thought "hey what a nice bold font!" LOL
  4. " la la la la when two forces, two forces collide, but didn't we have fun?"
  5. Not sure its the ability to write catchy songs (though they do LOL). Catchy songs I actually tend to like instantly ! But songs which present me with new sounds or more layers it takes a few listens for my brain to unravel them. I can say that each and every single one of Tori Amos songs I never liked on first listen LOL And she doesn't really make catchy tunes, but they are all heavily intricate, so my ears need to work a bit to get it all together hehe

Yeah pffff silly Chris....*hides his eagerness and lovestruck tendencies behind his back* LOL
  7. Oh is it Christmas? I swear I keep forgetting my favourite holiday :/ It´s ok though if everyone is busy Christmas shopping copies of AHFOD for family and friends haha :)
  8. Ok this innocent looking small trumpet (dunno its official name) is actually quite harmless to my senses :) Kinda reminds me of other brass which now that I think of it dont bother me in one particular song: The James Bond theme hehe Still not my favourite sound, but thanks for posting! It was a very nice performance! :) Nice to be exposed to music we dont usually go for :) Any example of a pop/rock song where brass doesn't make me shiver in the bad way? Maybe you know some :) An example of how brass totally ruined a song for me hehe Around the 5:14 mark. Noel calls it "cool brass" but I just cringe everytime and sadly it totally ruins the vibe of one of my favourite songs ever! hehe
  9. The best when a song surprises you like that! hehe I had a similar experience with Adventure. The first time I heard it I did not like it much at all actually hehe But after 2-3 listens it started opening up to me and now its my favourite :)
  10. I am with Rickulus here. NativeGirl I totally agree with your point here. There are a few artists I like pretty much all songs from (some more than others) but you can count them in half a hand maybe ! hehe So yeah of course as a fan of anything you´re most likely to like only a part of what an artist makes, not everything but Rickulus point is what I ponder too. This is not a case of not liking a few songs or even one album. Its actually the opposite, where one likes only a very minor part of an artist output, perhaps only 2 albums out of 7! :)
  11. Hmm it could be yes but those definitely sound like two notes to me, not four? What do you think?
  12. Maybe I should accept it as some kind of punishment, maybe I just need to learn to live with it...or maybe I just want not to have to think anymore. I swear when you´re not here, nothing makes sense and everything is a jumble
  13. Check out her review of Adele 25, where the utterly simple lyrics of "Hello" get suddenly hailed as deep and meaningful in their delivery :)
  14. Ah I´ve yet to go to Legoland and I live in the land of Lego. Go figure haha Yes I´ve been to Sweden a few times, not the capital though :) I always liked it but right now from the news and all it just seems too chaotic there. I would visit again but once they´ve sorted things out :/ Have you ever been in a hot air balloon?
  15. Yeah but I think the meaning of colour spectrum is to include all the "colours" of this album, so you hear small tidbits of several tracks
  16. As someone who used to be quite shy, its more fun for others to watch than for one to be shy..it can be quite painful. I am glad he is happier in his own skin now, and I happen to think he´s still dorky haha :)
  17. Like any other muscle, in the beginning you´ll only be able to be mindful a few times at most perhaps, but with practice it gets easier :) I find that our mind has just gotten so used to running its own show so to speak. We dont know half of whats going on in our head and where it comes from hehe I guess we are not used to being mindful, but like anything else it gets better with practice and persistence :)

This track truly moves me every time, both the words but also the melody. And I love The Great Gatsby, though such a sad ending.

Argh! Depends...As long as its glass Im good with both, if its plastic I´ll always take glass over plastic :) Sun or rain?
  20. Been paying a bit more attention to the lyrics now that I wrote them down in the iTunes song file :) I am particularly feeling this song cuz for me its about something wonderful you want to go with but at the same you hesitate. I really love: and we’ll be birds flying free holding on in the mystery fearless together you said ‘we’ll go through this together’ I like that cuz it conjures up an imagine of two people holding on together through trying to solve life´s puzzles (this got me thinking to X&Y actually haha) and going through things together even if its hard. I am trying to kinda learn this lesson myself as I tend to retreat by myself when something makes me uncomfortable and shut people out if it gets too painful.
  21. Thats the tricky part about art though isn't it? What constitutes art? And who´s the one/ones qualified to judge? This has been discussed through the ages and I honestly dont think we´ll ever reach a consensus hehe cuz art is subjective (hell life in general is subjective hehe). I personally like to differentiate by the intention and effort put behind a piece of work. If its a true honest effort done with care and integrity I´ll respect it, no matter how it sounds/appears. If its done just for doing something quick to gain a buck or two I won't respect it. But yeah its tricky even to be able to judge this without knowing the person behind the art! Thats why I kinda gave up trying. I go with what moves me. Some of that other people call art, some of that other people call trash. In the end its my personal experience that makes it valuable or not I guess.
  22. And "I ran away" won't accept guesses, only well thought out educated deductions :) Hehe Its a great riddle! Not sure I can have the time to re listen to the whole suite tonight. Maybe someone else will come with the solution in the meantime :)
  23. I love how he enunciates the "what if" part of that sentence in this song..it seems like it might have taken a while to make it work in there hehe
  24. I feel like the work will protract into the night...2 AM here I come. Oh well , lets make it as productive as possible :)
  25. Fair enough :) But then you do like pop, you just dont like Coldplay doing pop...did I get it right? :) For the record I would not like Coldplay ONLY doing pop songs for the rest of my life *LOL* I hardly think they will though. That they are versatile is a thing I love about them, it´d be sad to have them stuck in only one genre, whatever that may be, pop or rock or hip hop :) Also should they make an album where only synths feature, no Jonny riffs , no Will drums, nothing, I´d honestly not buy it :) I just love the organic sound too much and yeah without those organic elements it would indeed be music any pop star could perform/write.
