  1. Sorry, I have no idea from when it is!
  2. Picture in a German style & gossip magazine from this week: (I don't have a scanner so I took a pic of it... sorry.) EDIT: that was post #1000 in this thread :uhoh:
  3. German style & gossip magazine "Gala" gave me a good laugh yesterday. Saw the article in an office waiting room and removed the page to share it with you. :) The title says "Consolation Patrol" The article in a whole is a joke, but here are the most funny parts: 1. Picture on the top says it's Gary. 2. I quote: "The fact that husband Chris never wanted to accompany her on the red carpet has always been a strain on the relationship." 3. I quote again: "The Coldplay tour is finished. Back in London, Chris will find that their home is being completely rebuilt. Gwyneth has ordered the craftsmen to turn their mansion in North London into a super-house with 33 rooms. Remains to be seen whether the couple can fill the void." (Yes, he didn't know about that!!) Google translate version of the article here. There's a new article from today I found when looking for the online article. This one makes it even more ridiculous because it's about a GOOP newsletter about food and mentions her eating so much... ending with the sentence: "Maybe she's eating so much because she misses her husband and her children so much, who are in London."
  4. March 19, 2010 - submitted by Crystal, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle I love Coldplay but every time I listen to Coldplay I think about my ex. We were all about Coldplay 24/7 and we were together for three years or so. And I feel even worse when I hear Green Eyes or Sparks because he was my sparks and I was his green eyes. He once told me after we broke up you ruined Coldplay for me, now I know what he meant =-(.What I'm trying to ask is: can I find a way to disassociate Coldplay from my ex? The Oracle replies: Awww Crystal, many of us have been in a similar situation where songs and artists remind us of past loves but don't worry, it does get easier. I had a similar experience with Yellow but now it just makes me happy. You didn't ruin Coldplay for him it will just take time. It's not simple but you need to try and make new associations. Although the answer to your question is "yes", it's up to you to make those new memories and eventually they will soon overshadow the old ones. One day in the future you will hear Green Eyes and Sparks and it will make you smile. Hang in there!
  5. March 19, 2010 - submitted by Viviana, Mexico Q. Hey dear Oracle! Would you let us know which rude word did Chris say in Guadalajara??? Love ya! The Oracle replies: I absolutely KNEW someone would ask this. Naughty bunch aren't you? I will tell you what the word was as long as you don't expect me to explain what it means. Deal? Ok, he said cabrones! Good job his Dad doesn't understand Spanish swear words!
  6. March 19, 2010 - submitted by Romy, Mexico Q. Dear Oracle: I love the idea of the staff wearing the Mariachi customs in the Monterrey concert. Did they use customs from all the countries were Coldplay played? Or was the fact that the Mariachi custom is so cool? At least I think so...jaja. I send a lots of hugs to all the people that make possible the best gig I've ever been!!! That includes you, dear Oracle :) The Oracle replies: Costumes were only worn on the last night. As that last night happened to take place in Mexico and the Mariachi costumes are so cool - as are the musicians - it was an idea hatched out of a night of Tequila drinking. You can see in Roadie #42's blog that Neil wore his on the flight home to London too. He looked great when we were checking in at Mexico City airport but it has to be said it seemed a little ridiculous when collecting his bags at the carousel at Heathrow! We were all hoping customs would stop him and ask where he was flying in from!
  7. More than 3000 pages ago, Kiran, member name "Prospekt." posted this: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2944192&postcount=48678 :)
  8. I learned it to be pronounced "ma-CHUR"... but apparently there are more ways... :uhoh:
  9. Hi, have a look here: http://vivalacoldplay.com/2010/02/coldplay-ja-esta-no-rio-de-janeiro/ So not Bogota but Rio. Every time I see pics from airports I must think of this video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQZJJkNAeSs]YouTube- Chris Martin from Coldplay at the airport.[/ame] ...and Prospekt.'s comment to it "she's not joking"
  10. I was definitely hoping so too, but I had a sneaking suspicion that it would be something like this - a nice thing to have, but nothing to get way too hyped up about. I'm still happy that we'll get a professional filmed live show to watch though, since I think it's time the boys put out a new live DVD, and this is the next best thing!Mhmm, ok. :disappointed: I agree with the both of you. Good that it's not a live stream but available to watch later however for people in different time zones.
  11. The 11th episode will be aired in the US today! :bomb: I'm watching it. :) I saw the pilot a few weeks ago and I liked it. I also saw the decreasing viewers statistics... I hope they'll continue with the series nevertheless. The cast is excellent and it seems like they changed the original book to a more interesting story. The least it'll do is to keep me occupied until the third series of Ashes to Ashes will start in April.
  12. Yes please!! I'm really curious what it'll be! :bomb:
  13. :curtain: Just stopping here before I go to bed... Good luck to you Carla and Sarah!!
  14. Hola Maria! :nice: Have a nice evening everyone and good night!
  15. Hi, here are some:
  16. March 17, 2010 - submitted by Pedro, Mexico Q. Where was taken the photo appears in the Live section? P.S.: You guys are the best! The Oracle replies: Roadie #42 is busted! Yes it's a farewell photo but it was actually taken in Guadalajara!
  17. March 17, 2010 - submitted by Katelynne, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle, Do you have anything special planned for St. Patrick's Day? :) Love, Katie The Oracle replies: Happy St. Patrick's Day! I had half a pint of Guinness earlier but was frankly disappointed; just not as good as they brew in the Emerald Isle.
  18. March 17, 2010 - submitted by Amanda, Australia Q. Do the band hire translators when they tour countries where English is not the first language? Or are there enough bi-lingual members of staff to get them by? The Oracle replies: There was sort of a bit of both on the Latin American trip. There were representatives in each city who would meet us (Santiago, Miguel and Andrea amongst others) who would accompany the band and give local information, liaise with the tour manager as well as translate when necessary. We were also lucky in that Sylvia who was working as part of our crew is from Brazil and so translated for us too.
  19. Pretty close to it, yes! I don't think that's bad though!
  20. March 16, 2010 - submitted by Dean, United States of America Q. Dear Oracle, Has Chris ever tried playing drums before? I'm just wondering because he's so multi-talented and I don't think I've ever seen him play them. The Oracle replies: I've seen him play the drums and he's pretty good. As it's not his instrument of choice we won't be seeing it in the future!
  21. Thank you for all the pictures!!  You and your friends have made awesome jackets! :stunned: And congrats on the signed CD!! :awesome: Can't wait to see your secretly recorded video! :)
  22. March 16, 2010 - submitted by Tamara, United Kingdom Q. Dear Oracle, I want to show you a clip, I think these children deserve to be seen. The Oracle replies: Seen? Well they definitely deserve to be heard but I have to say the visual made me queasy. Yes, the Oracle is not a fan of 'performing' children but I must confess... they're great! Also you may not believe this but the band were watching this clip in their dressing room before the show in Guadalajara last week! I kid you not - no pun intended.
