I saw them last night in Toronto. Since U2 is the first band I fell in love with when I was 14, it was a massive event for me in my life! Especially that I was in the hospital a week ago and I have no idea where I got the strength to stand, and sing my heart out to every song. The show was great, I was in the lower bowl and hey, the sound at Roger's centre is THAT great, but it was still amazing. Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me was one of my favorites along with Zooropa that they played. I have some pictures, they'll eventually make it off my camera!

I have my show in 4 days! It's going to be weird, from the 28th-3rd I was in the hospital and diagnosed with Colitis, since then I've been recovering but it's been a bit of a struggle, I HAVE to be better to see them!

1- who cares if Chris was drinking? lol - he can enjoy a beer, especially after Glastonbury and 2, even if they weren't kidding they do release a fair amount of b-sides and I wouldn't be shocked if an EP comes out with the other songs not on the album. I (personally) wouldn't mind a long record, but only if the songs were all good. Whatever they do it's going to dominate globally, so heck, I'm just enjoying the ride!

Studio. The live aspect is a whole different area of the music, so as a song this is awesome - the guitar is very 'The Edge' like on the studio too! :)

Low doesn't get enough credit. one of my favorites from X&Y!

I wasn't too bothered with the price....it was 50 with the convienience charge, so a 35 dollar ticket or something I'm just happy I am going to see them! :D

I want to say they are recording, I've listened to their debut a tonne of times, so hopefully the second album comes soon! :)

listening to Pala tonight, i have listened to the first 3 songs, but i like what I hear! :)

I hear they were scrapped, I knew that, but it'd be cool if it resurfaced and they went back to it, would have been interesting to hear.

some, but not all. X&Y is long and the sounds do sound similar, but it's probably my favorite album

:) nothing wrong with having all the b-sides! aha there are a lot of good ones! like, 'I Ran Away'!

a little disappointing. I want to hear the Rick Rubin material, and 'Songs From Ascent' but there is another record here. I guess there is too much work going on with the Spiderman musical? who knows....I'm more excited for the new Coldplay LP then U2, so next year might be better so they can make it theirs

^ +1 Waiting on more U2 material! But the thing with Radiohead and Coldplay are (to me) the length and nature of the songs, Radiohead has many more instrument variation and ambient sounds in their music, Yorke uses his falsetto much more and has the voice of the angel, Martin can sound a little whiney after a while....but I somewhat get this

I saw this! interesting...it seems really hush hush with anything LP5 and it has also said the album is still being mastered and is far off from release.... hmm
