  1. i like your cover! only thing is the strumming, i prefer it when there's one strike less! e.g.: ( o = downstrike, ô = accented, u = upstrike, x = no strike ) ôxxuxu | ôôou hard to describe, you've got to hear it...
  2. that's not a fender! Rhodes has become an independant brand, fender's out since 75 It's a "Rhodes Mark I SeventyThree Stage"
  3. it is 100000% sure FFFFFF! look: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Coldplay-EODCS-Lot-50-Jonnys-Telecaster-42_W0QQitemZ280441573475QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV?hash=item414b9ed063 on the cases, he writes the tunings. on the viva and the other thinlines theres "NORMAL", here it's "FFFFFF!" the text also proves it!
  4. that book isn't for piano either. also, there are "some" new songs, and this book has the stuff up to 2005 and i mean, do you need all the coldplay songs at once? the book may come in handy sometimes, though i'd rather buy the sheets/tab
  5. dunno, i don't have it... it's unnecessary however, because the lyrics are on the coldplay homepage and the chords you'll find via google etc.; they're mostly quite accurate!
  6. 3 ways: you need a preamp and an under-saddle piezo pickup (= the ones that are no rubbish). your local guitar shop should have these and for some money, you don't have to cut your guitar yourself so they will built them in. pro: sounds perfect; con: your guitar needs to be irreversibly modified but you can also buy a magnetic pickup that can be pushed into the hole of your guitar pro: put it on and off as you like; con: i suppose that's what you mean by "rubbish" the last method would be buying a small instrument microphone that can be clipped at the hole of your guitar. then you get the real sound and you can plug it into your amp & walk around
  7. eek, the organ sounds too shrill and it's too loud singing was ok though
  8. you're right.... maybe he was on stage with it while the photo was taken? ^^
  9. oh, and get a band also, they'll rock it off at the end :D really, without the e-guitar-part, what would fix you be? - not good on an organ however^^
  10. 7 thinlines, 2 jazzasters, 2 les pauls, 1 acoustic, right? and there's also the red thinline with the capo for scientist^^
  11. huh? oh, ok, i actually suppose, that anyone who thinks it doesn't sound right - in this case too low - changes it automatically - playing it in another octave - however: yeah definitely you HAVE to play it up one octave, i also noticed that when i used the piano sheets with organ sound. for piano however, it sounds alright that way... that's normal, because every type of instrument got it's own special sound in the different octaves
  12. on the one hand, playing it too fast kills the feeling, on the other hand, the normal speed pretty much pisses me off, because it's such a simple song. but it's very good anyway! keep going! oh, please try white shadows on the guitar! (not the electric guitar part, just the chords + vocals or so... or mix it....)
  13. seriously, with lyrics, not good for a wedding ! :D haha! but i assume you will play it without the vocals... however, you can use the normal piano sheets! if you are practised in playing the real church organ, i mean WITH the basses played with the feet, then do the bassline with the feet, the chords with the left hand and the melody with the right one. good luck!
  14. it's good :D however: - practise your english a bit ( the pronounciation... i know it's hard for french people^^) - when you sing "i can hear the siren's sound" and "like a serenade of sound", try to go down with the chords! not just A, but A - G#m - F#m --------A------------G#m----F#m i-can-hear-the-siren's-sound but i like it ^^ (your covers are good ones, i've heard some really bad ones, but thank god not everybody is playing/singing as those others) very well done & do some more!
  15. just an f ! well, the nearest f obviously! from the e string, tune up to f; a down to f; d whatever you like, i prefer up; g down; h/b down; e up; it's always an f, only in different octaves!
  16. well, i think it's too fast... but did i miss something? what solo do you mean?
  17. ah, i remember, first a thin, then the LP... though i think i've also seen him playing those two songs with the same guitar...
  18. um, look at the old videos back from 2000/01 (e.g. sydney 01,...) http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/4058/jmsyd011.png http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/7130/jmsyd012.png http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5286/jmsyd013.png http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8358/jmsyd014.png these were the best ones i could make (sorry, the video quality wasn't that good :( )
  19. well, it's good! i just don't like the kind of beat and the speed. good playing though! haha, and we DO hear a clear french accent ;) btw: that's one of these yamaha silent-guitars, right?
  20. it would make sense definitely! and it wouldn't trouble the previous LiTii because you can play it in drop d
  21. or strange reflections from his former brown tele? (it isn't brown, according to fender, it's crimson red, that's what made me think that way...) or just a re-finished tele thin with a red colour (candy apple red, hot rod red, fiesta red, ... but rather hot rod than the others)
  22. personally, i don't like them - either too much or boring they sound rather unaware...
  23. stephanbass is right concerning the intro! it would sound better: - with a slide(/bottleneck) - with the right notes try e|--------------7~~~--------------7~~~---- B|-------9\7~---------------9\7~------------ G|----------------------7/9------------------- D|-7/9---------------------------------------- ~ = let ring, / and \ means slide up/down if you insist on tuning your high e string to c, then this "7~~~" becomes a "11~~~"
