  1. Anybody who's surprised Radiohead would pull a stunt like this hasn't been following them for very long. Do you guys know which one of the feeds Radiohead's performance will be on? The BBC 3 one (which has performances I'm interested in) is sadly "not available in your part of the world" but the other two work fine. EDIT: BBC says they can't broadcast Radiohead's performance. Typical.
  2. I endorse this idea. Except not only at Glasto.
  3. I guess you have a point with that, I was more or less referring how it built up to something way bigger.
  4. "Amsterdam" is their best song and has no chorus. It's not really a problem. Besides, the best chorus in the world couldn't save ETIAW.
  5. If ETIAW and MM make it onto the album and this one does not, Coldplay might be the stupidest beings on Earth (or Mars, if they indeed move there).
  6. If ETIAW and Major Minus both make it onto the full album but Moving to Mars does not, Coldplay are most certainly morons.
  7. This may be a bold statement, but after I took such a dump on the first two songs, "Moving to Mars" may be their best track since the X&Y era (which is just a nice way of saying "Better than anything off Viva or what we've heard of LP5").
  8. After releasing two of the worst Coldplay songs ever, "Moving to Mars" may be their best one since "Til Kingdom Come". I may actually give this a 9/10. This is considering how I give a 5 to "Major Minus" and a 2 to ETIAW.
  9. I love Palladia so I most likely will, though I may record it if I have other plans. And as long as they keep playing ETIAW last, I can turn it off then. :P
  10. Right now it's about a 5/10 with both versions taken into account, but that could change. For example, I originally gave ETIAW a 4/10 but now I wish I gave it a 2.
  11. I could have sworn a couple of Blue Room EP tracks made it onto Parachutes. ;)
  12. I'm sorry I liked this song before.
  13. I prefer the live versions of most songs (that's how you can tell whether a band actually has talent), but most of that stems from hearing those songs live in person. I can tell merely from someone else's recording that the live version of "Major Minus" is immensely superior. Studio version is an example of when production outshines the actual talent.
  14. Whether we're hearing Will or not, the track seems really overproduced. I liked the live version quite a bit, so this is a shame, unlike ETIAW which would have been doomed even without overproduction.
  15. Nothing like a little CSS in my life. :)
  16. This may be true, but waiting an extra minute or so is okay if it means I don't have to listen to BBC 1. :P I wish I had satellite radio. Then I'd actually have a reason to listen to radio in the car.
  17. XFM is better due to the fact that they're currently playing The Strokes.
  18. Okay, 1 hour left, time to finally turn on one of those stations. I refuse to play BBC Radio 1, though, because I usually hate most of the music they play.
  19. I haven't listened to Every Teardrop since maybe 2 days after it was released. It will be nice to finally hear the first GOOD Coldplay song in 3 years. (excluding Christmas Lights, which was more of a novelty)
  20. Good news: I'll be able to catch this premiere, unlike the other songs. Bad news: I'm hungover as hell. :P
  21. Matt B. makes up words like "Bloodbuzz" and "Vanderlyle". Matt B. makes up words like "Demonocracy" and "Pwoper". My vote goes to Matt B.
  22. Ooh, I love both bands, but my vote goes to Muse due to the fact that we should probably switch it up a bit while we're hot off the heels of Arcade Fire. I don't want to get burnt out on the (still awesome) indie bands. Muse has a broader appeal and will probably get more variety in the lists made. Looking forward to both regardless.
  23. ^ That's okay, they only showed 3 or 4 songs total. Disappointingly brief. :(
