Good luck! Hope it's good news! I remember those days of auditioning for region and state band. Oh Lord, I could really work myself up into a class A frenzy before my auditions. It didn't get any better when I was in college, either. I would still get so nervous before juries and recitals. I've heard that eating bananas helps with the nerves. Or... taking beta blockers. :)

Those are good plugs. I use them when I have to play in a pit setting and the trumpets sit right behind me. I didn't use earplugs the two times I went and saw Coldplay during the Viva tour.....and we were even sitting right in front of one of the amps the second time.

Yay! Nutella is winning! BTW, I made Nutella hot chooclate yesterday. It's easy. Take 1 cup of milk for 2 tbsps of Nutella. Mix on medium heat in a saucepan, then whisk till frothy. Pour into a cup and add marshmallows. Tada! Nutella hot chocolate. It's excellent!

Yes, the new album is exquisite. Also, I caught them on SNL last weekend and they were simply amazing! So much better than Radiohead, Coldplay, and Florence. (three of my faves)

Damn. We just cannot afford to buy tickets right now. Couldn't afford to buy Radiohead tickets, either. Damn, damn, dammit! Why do they have to sell tickets RIGHT before Christmas?! Sorry, Coldplay.....buying gifts for my kids and nieces and nephews are more important than you.

Florence on SNL tonight. She did Shake It Out first. I didn't like it. She sounded nervous and shaky to me. The background choir was awesome, though. She performed No Light, No Light second and this was better, but she was tending on the sharp edge of the pitch towards most of the song. Yikes......I just don't think she's that good of a live performer. I love her as a studio musician, but they really do edit out that aggressive vibrato she has which makes it much more tolerable to listen to. Her hair was also weird, too. *shrugs* I dunno. I just wasn't impressed. I'm looking forward to the Black Keys next time, though! Coldplay then Florence and now The Black Keys?! I'm gonna crap my pants if Muse or Radiohead is next musical guest after TBK.
