Oh God, THIS. This is exactly how I feel about that song. It's the cheesiest song I've ever heard from Muse thus far. I skip over it everytime I get to it. I also used to not like Assassins, but now I like it.

Yes, after watching it a few more times it certainly is endearing. I think my favorite part is the end when they are playing to a packed stadium and then join together for a bow. I really like that part.

So, the Japanese version didn't get a bonus track? I thought they were supposed to be getting a bonus track. And if so, is it Moving to Mars or something different?

I gave it a 7/10. It was....strange, to say the least, but oddly I liked it. So did my 3 year old. I was listening to it through headphones and watching and he ran up and screamed, "elephants! Elephants, mommy! Looka'em!" So, he would give it a 10/10, I'm sure. Maybe Hype Williams and the model were a red herring?? Or perhaps they saw Hype's final product and didn't like it. I would honestly rather see a video with elephants then some emo model girl pretending she's unhappy and finding paradise. If that is indeed the concept Mr. Williams was going for, then it was absolutely the right choice to do this concept instead. It fits Coldplay better.

I think the Brazilian model was probably a red herring. Erm...I'm not sure about the video. It was....strange. I mean, I like he was reunited with the rest of the band at the end.....but elephants? Ah, I suppose they all have children now so their own kids can watch it and say, "look! It's daddy in an elephant suit!"

10 from me. It's my favorite track off MX. I can't get it out of my head! I love it!!! I've been walking around my house humming it so much that my kids have picked up on it and now they are humming it, too!

I will say this about PoC. As much as I hate Rihanna and don't like her music at all, I think they made her sound less like herself than ever. It's very hard to tell it's Rihanna. But still.....the song's majority is her singing. I don't like it. It would've been okay as a B-side.

What a nice review. I couldn't tell at the beginning if they were being a bit patronizing, though. Still....3.5 stars out of 5 is okay.

X&Y ETA: Okay, I've listened to Mylo Xyloto a few more times and I have to say.....it's moved up past Parachutes for me now. 8/10 FYI....you don't have to DL this leak to hear it. If one were to really search, you can find sites that have it posted in a player form. No downloading necessary. I thought the album was wonderful. I did skip PoC, though. I tried listening to it in the context of the whole album, but I just couldn't. It should've been left off. Sorry Debs. Just couldn't resist. I am a true fan, though. I have already pre-ordered the digital version and will be buying a physical copy as well. I will go see them live when they tour and buy merchandise. I'm sorry if you feel like those who listened to the leak aren't true fans.

Sorry, I heard no pros....only cons.

I just listened to it. Yeah, I really, really did not like it. Rihanna's part was WAY too prominent. Might as well have said it was Rihanna feat. Chris Martin. The synth sounds were like 80's fuzzy synths.....and not in a good 80's synth way. It's the first song that I actually couldn't make it through. I do not have any desire to listen to this song again. I'm very sad. ETIAW and Paradise have grown on me, but I just don't even want to hear this tripe again. EDIT: It blows my mind that they made MTM.........and this. They really ran the gamut, didn't they?
