Well, my $.02 about the Poc/Vietnam song similarity is this: When I first heard PoC the first thought that came to my mind was that they took the hook off "Shake Ya Tailfeather" that was made for the movie Bad Boys II. Yes, the Vietnam song's hook sounds the same as PoC, however, that hook from Shake Ya Tailfeather came out in 2006, the Vietnam song came out in 2008, so it's possible she borrowed her hook from that movie's song. It's possible. I can't say whether it was blatant copying on Coldplay's part, but truthfully that hook has been around before the Vietnam song came out.

This Nelly/P. Diddy/Murphy Lee song is what I was thinking of when I first heard Princess of China! I thought...."ewww...they sampled THAT atrocity?!" ETA: Just checked, "Shake Ya Tailfeather" came in 2006......that's 2 years before the Vietnamese song. So...I don't think she's going to have a strong case. That hook was around before she made her song.

I live in podunk, USA and it was available in my local Walmart this morning.

I like the colorful one a bit more, but both are good.

I went to the store in my PJ's this morning to pick it up! :D I'm just a little annoyed, though. After I got the plastic wrap and tape off, I opened up the jewel case only to discover it was broken. The bottom plastic hinge must've broken off during delivery/transport. I guess I'll have to break into another one of my jewel cases and transfer the MX stuff to the old jewel case. *sigh* Oh well.

That and Prospekt's March are the only two Coldplay songs that have made me cry. Gravity is stirringly beautiful. I told my husband that I wanted that played at my funeral.

Goodness gracious! That's awful! I'm glad to hear you and your friends are okay. But still....I can't imagine being in a situation like that.

Both, but mostly buy. I usually buy albums in total, but if I only hear one song I like and want off an album, depending on how much money I have in my account, I'll either buy it on Amazon for $.99 or search for a torrent.

I'll be honest, I've only heard it once and it was back when it was released for one of those Twilight soundtracks. I can't remember what it sounded like because I wasn't a big fan of Muse's back then so I paid it no heed. Maybe I should go back and re-listen??? :\:laugh3:

Eh, I don't mind that sound so much, though. To me, The Resistance sounded like a cross between Queen and Depeche Mode and I liked it. But, I like Muse's earlier albums, too. I think one of my favorite things about Muse, though, is the grafting of classical music into their charts. It's like a little golden surprise in an already wonderful treasure.
