What the fuck? That's one of the most immature "articles" I've ever read. Not only is this dude circlejerking over something that I'm sure he's not even listened to more than The Scientist, ASFOS and Viva La Vida, but he literally just posted links to any collab (except for Homecoming, of course). Adele is the most baffling case of fame I've seen. She has a good voice and obviously has talent, but she does the same thing for every single record. Every. Single. Time. She has yet to do anything out of the box or even out of her own comfort level. I don't think she can keep doing this for another decade, but I guess we'll see.

So, after getting sucked into hip-hop for like three weeks straight, I finally started listening to Coldplay again the past week or so and omg I love this band so much. Tonight I've had UATW and Viva La Vida stuck in my head, and on top of replaying the shit out of AHFOD, I find myself remembering why I prefer post-X&Y Coldplay than pre-Viva Coldplay. Like, they're both great, but I can't get over the freeness they've had since Viva. That, and I also realized the vast majority of my favorite Coldplay songs come from 2008 and beyond. I love the band either way, of course. The Super Bowl is gonna kick ass and so is the AHFOD tour. This year is gonna be good to the band. :heart:

That's not the problem. There's a group of like five users here who feel the need to do nothing but comment the same thing about Coldplay's decline. What's the point? I understand why you don't like the album, and that's A-okay. But is it really necessary to argue with the people over and over who do enjoy it?

Get rid of Colour Spectrum and replace it with a scrapped song. Fix the mixing with guitar in some songs that left it sounding muffled. Bridge a better gap between Everglow and Adventure of a Lifetime, or just move Everglow in the tracklist. That's it for me. So basically you want them to be exactly like 90's Radiohead?

It'd be nice, but his quote was taken out of context and he later got upset at the media for misunderstanding that quote. Basically, it just means any song from any era could appear, but not for this album.

The last Coldplay video I loved was ETIAW, so I didn't have much anticipation for this one. But damn! I absolutely love the video; the Violet Hill similarities are neat too. Birds is by far the best song on the album and I think it may end up being the best video too.

I think my favorite part of the song is the release of energy leading into the chorus. Someone said this when the album first came out, but it feels like you're jumping off a cliff in sheer joy.

All we've seen since you first listened to A Head Full of Dreams is how dumb anyone is to like it, how dumb the band is, how dumb everything is (unless it's 'Oldplay' of course!).
