  1. Wow, fuck you Chris. I was thinking it would be a song you hadn't played in a long time. Such a tease.
  2. I would still love a loud, great folk rock album. But it will never happen.
  3. I'm sure it's just me, but the first verse is very Bob Dylan-esque, which I think plays a large role in my love for this song. Chris' lyrics are at a strongpoint here, and so much so, that it seemed as if this would be a very depressing song musically based off the lyric sheet Coldplay posted previously. It is still sad and depressing, but they managed to make a beautiful juxtapose between lyrics and production. I dig it! 2:16 is the part I am constantly singing both out loud and in my head almost all the time since the stream on iTunes. Seriously, I can't get enough of it. It leads so gorgeously into Jonny's wonderful solo that I find myself being amazed with each listen. I fought with myself for a while to decide where to put this in the ranking list, but I can happily say it's my absolute favorite on the album (with B-sides included). 5/5
  4. I listened to it at least ten times the first day, then told myself I needed a break because I was playing it too much and just played a few individual tracks for a few days. I've since gotten back into listening to the entirety of it and I can safely say I love this album dearly. It took about two weeks of trying to discover where it fit amongst my favorite Coldplay albums, but again, I can safely put it in second right behind X&Y. The songs I'm still eh on are Another's Arms and ASFOS, but everything else is great! Such a sigh of relief from the overcrowded MX days.
  5. But that's his opinion. There's no need to call someone angrily on social media because you disagree with someone. EDIT: This looked dickish, but that wasn't my intent.

Your Thom .gif is half the reason I became so interested in Radiohead on this site a few years ago! Thom and his lazy eye. :dazzled:
  7. I was in the same boat, until the mass amount of negativity started flowing in with some of the reviews. I don't usually let others' opinions change my viewpoint on something, but it did for Ghost Stories. I still loved the album, but it just didn't feel as it did when I first proclaimed my love for the album. That, of course, changed within about two days and now I don't care anymore. As howyousawtheworld said, it's becoming increasingly difficult to think of things to complain about because I genuinely adore this album. While I have a few small complaints, it's nothing that knocks the favorability down for myself. I'm just glad we got a Coldplay record that was subtle, quiet and relaxing to listen to.
  8. I don't even play piano, but this is all so sexy sounding. Good job!
  9. :awesome: This is fun to read about.
  10. Wedding Bells was later turned into Christmas Lights. Pretty song, nonetheless.
  11. Wasn't one of the scrapped MX songs also called Tomorrow? :o
  12. You mean like this?
  13. No way? I haven't had a chance to pick up the album yet. That's awesome!
  14. I was just looking at the setlist on Setlist.fm and apparently they dedicated Yellow to Kevin Cordasco. He was a sixteen year old kid who passed away from a rare form of cancer last year, and received recognition as 'the biggest Breaking Bad fan'. The cast met him and he even changed a very drastic detail in the series finale. He seemed to be a great kid, and I think it's lovely that the band dedicated this to him. I wonder if they're Breaking Bad fans, then? :dazzled:
  15. Fix You, Paradise, Viva La Vida and Charlie Brown.
  16. BuzzFeed actually wrote something good. Consider me surprised.
  17. A Rush of Blood to the Head was rehearsed again?!
  18. What a great setlist. Arguably better than some MX some setlists. Now, what do you bet hardly anyone recorded A Whisper?
  19. And that honestly surprises me. For a while, it seemed like it'd be going the other direction.
  20. Yikes. But of course they say it's worse than X&Y.
