  1. I couldn't possibly be any more envious of Ellen - not many women get to lie down with Chris
  2. I have my fingers crossed for New Brunswick (but you're right about Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal). Road trip anyone?
  3. I have to say it is my least favourite of the album. It's not Rhianna, its the distortion, repeating beat, simple lyrics. It didn't seem like their greatest effort - more like a album filler
  4. plain and simple - the word homo was used to describe something derogatory. I personally don't see why the words homo or gay were necessary to use in this context. Of course gay is not a bad word. But it was used incorrectly here.
  5. Up with the Birds. So beautiful
  6. anyone have any butterflies for a Canadian girl?
  7. I can't get it here in Canada either
  8. wow...I saw U2 at an outdoor concert this summer in Canada. $75 taxes in.
  9. wow! I'm glad others spied Apple in the crowd too! You know you are a Coldplay fan when you recognize their kids in the audience!
  10. apparently the ATV news in the Maritimes said that Coldplay (or Bruce) would play the night after Madonna. I will keep u posted if anything else is mentioned at my end:cool:
  11. you were living the Coldplayer dream today Dianne. Wish I could have been there too :)
  12. have to say that my initial reaction to the studio version was not favourable - I like the rawness and energy of the live version better. Chris seems to be getting lost in the production of the piece (I get it, you naysayers - that's the point - experimentation, new musical paths, etc. etc.) After a summer of live performances, it seems to have lost some of its genuine passion - radio will love it though
  13. i would like it too. Having trouble with some of the suggested links :(
  14. hi guys. Another Canadian superfan asking for the link to be sent to her please!!!!!!!
  15. Coldplay Live July 21st, Moncton, CANADA?? local news has been reporting that Coldplay (or Bruce Springsteen) are set to play the Magnetic Hill in Moncton, NB, CANADA on July 21, 2012. Anyone else hear this tidbit of news??? I can't find any other source confirming or denying this report. We have already booked our hotels in case the rumour is true!:)
  16. having a new album on continuous play
  17. I was surprised to see that some people were disappointed with the crowd's energy. I watched the taping and I was impressed with the level of interest the audience was showing - singing all the lines, jumping, etc. Not to mention it was probably the worst weather of the summer festivals this year. Chris asked them to sing twice - he wouldn't do that if he didn't think the audience was into it. Letterman's audience was terrible. I couldn't believe the people checking their phones in the front row that night!!!!!!! In Canada, Chris said they have the best fans in the world. He doesn't say that at every concert - they must have been pleased with the fan reaction! Great show!!!!
  18. Don't Let It Break Your Heart? perhaps?
  19. good luck fellow Canucks. So jealous. I've been on vacation all summer but now they are coming to Can. in Sept. :( Won't be able to get away from work (and a 2 hour plane ride)
  20. wouldn't the band be finishing up the album around this date? isn't their completion deadline around this time? I would imagine all of their energy is being spent in the studio now
  21. I ordered mine July 17. It has been backordered. No word on how long it will take either. LiveNation says there is no stock in the warehouse and they will let me know when it comes in. If you look on your email confirmation there should be a link to inquire directly about your order (for what that's worth)
  22. Hi

my husband thinks Coldplay is depressing too. I disagree wholeheartedly. Like you, I sometimes feel silly being so obsessed with a band but you have found the right place - everyone here is very welcoming and shares your way of thinking. :)
  23. I have ordered a tee from the shop and have been waiting 4 weeks already. I sent an email inquiry and Live Nation said the merchandise is not in stock in their warehouse and will be shipped once available. They didn't have any trouble cashing my payment already though. WTF? Anybody else have trouble with this new ordering format?
  24. while on a Mexican resort having breakfast. I heard Coldplay (Clocks) being piped in overhead - the funny part was that it was being resung to a mariachi beat
  25. my husband (not a fan of Coldplay) feels that many of their lyrics are kinda cheesy/overblown. He cites the new single's title "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" as a perfect example. I suspect many people may find Mylo Xyloto difficult to appreciate (hard to pronounce or understand). It may appear to some that the band is trying too hard to be clever. Myself (a huge Coldplay fan), on the other hand, likes the title for its originality. Rather than just being named for a song title (like so many other artists) it is making me consider what Mylo Xyloto means and where the idea comes from. I suspect it will spark other similar conversions prior to album release. An ordinary album title wouldn't have done that.
