Looks like what the world needs now is new music from Coldplay :D

I really don't care about the album's length. A short but cohesive album is much much better than a long dull album

I still think the Target exclusive is unfair for us fans outside US.

Still, it's not the whole album. And sorry but I disagree with you on the creativity part. Isn't Midnight for example a new ground and style for them? And I see Magic as a perfect example of highlighting the somewhat underrated rhythm section of Coldplay.Furthermore, the percussions in Always in My Head is smooth and calming while Another's Arms has this weird horn-like sound.

I think one of the main reasons why I like Midnight is the fact that the song has a "Kid-Aesque" vibes in it and it doesn't have a climatic end which I think is something new for the band (knowing that their sing-along choruses and climatic build-up as the song comes to an end are among their trademarks). I'm also a fan of Radiohead and I certainly enjoy the atmosphere and EDM influence of the song. What's amazing though is the fact that they still manage to sound like Coldplay even at their most experimental piece yet (imo).

Yeah. Can somebody who watched the secret gig rank the 9 songs from ghost stories? Or at least name the top 3 songs off the new album.

It doesn't really matter if Ghost Stories only has 9 tracks in it because so far I'm liking the band's output. Moreover, I love how they managed to create low key and intimate songs this time around.

I agree. Also, a release of a second single off the album can boost sales.

My birthday is on May 26 and it is such a satisfying gift to have a new Coldplay album. I must say that I'm still surprised until now that the album will be out sooner than I expected. But it doesn't matter because Coldplay haven't dissapointed me yet.

I had a similar experience with the song. This is the first time that my excitement quickly faded after I listened to the first single of a Coldplay album. I began to look for answers because I've waited for the album patiently. Is it because it's not a stadium-built song? Is it because of too much R&B influence when I was expecting a rockier sound? There are a lot of questions inside my head... But after that I gave the song a listen and every time it plays it grows in me... I still prefer Midnight but Magic is fine I guess. :) I hope the song will do "magic" after a while.
