  1. I love Panic Station. Great song and great video. Now, that Micro Cuts performance looked absolutely amazing. I do feel sorry for those who went to the first night though.
  2. I have no idea what that means, but I assume it's bad :stunned:
  3. On piano: Trouble Animals Politik The Scientist Clocks Amsterdam Speed of Sound (just the main riff) Most of these are quite rusty though as I haven't played them in ages.
  4. To avoid Pentagonal, who was threatening to curb stomp him?

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Having a track list and knowing all that we did about the songs a month before MX came out is knowing too much. But I don't think it could hurt to have a few glimpses, like the big list of potential song titles in 2009, or maybe the occasional acoustic performance of something like Wedding Bells or Spanish Rain to get a vague idea of where they're headed. (not that those examples turned out to be any indication of where MX was headed)

I actually like it when bands tease info from the studio. Radiohead have done it a lot in the past with random pages containing lyrics from songs they are working on etc. But yes, there is a limit to how much an album should be built up before it's release.
  7. I'm very interested to see which of the songs they've mentioned/played/soundchecked recently will actually be played at the stadiums. On Twitter they've suggested they are going to play Muscle Museum, Citizen Erased, Falling Away With You and Big Freeze, and they have apparently been soundchecking Darkshines, Exogenesis parts 2 and 3, and I Belong to You. edit: Since I posted this they've apparently soundchecked Blackout and Micro Cuts :wtf:

  9. This and the fact the OP's username is Simon made me a bit worried when I first saw it...
  10. Dude, this was like 4 months ago and I'm pretty sure the issue has probably been resolved by now.

 There's always other music to listen to in the mean time. I've pretty much stopped listening to Coldplay now, I can definitely go without for another 10 years!

  16. I've heard that the new album has the working title '10 Reasons To Exist' and they are aiming for a September 2013 release date :) (I don't know if this is old news though) Found it: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/jan/17/u2-working-title-new-album

  22. Not exactly, but sometimes I hear an amazing song (or part of one) in a dream but then can't remember it afterwards. For example, I had several such dreams around the time Mylo Xyloto was released, if only the real Coldplay had written songs as good as the ones in my dreams. :P
  23. I've never had the teeth-falling-out dream, I guess that means I don't care about my image (which I don't). Last night I had a fairly straightforward dream (well, relatively speaking) where I was in some sort of prisoner of war camp or something, with loads of other people, and basically we were trying to escape. The whole thing happened as if I was playing a first person video game, with occasional cut-scenes where I saw that the protagonist I was controlling was actually played by Naveen Andrews! (a.k.a. Sayid from Lost) :laugh3: There was a bit of dream awareness towards the end of the dream when we were all caught by the prison guards and supposedly shot, but the perspective shifted to outside the prison before I actually saw what happened. I realised that this meant I must have survived, and a moment later a bunch of the prisoners (including me) randomly teleported out of the prison. :laugh3:
