Chances of getting tickets online?
Wow, I'm really surprised to see everyone had so much trouble today! I went on to get tickets for Philly and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. (They went on sale at 12 PM, so maybe that's why?) Got right in at 12, and got great seats...Section 105, Row 6. Considering the trouble I had getting U2 tickets last year using Ticketmaster (but I DID get them!), I was expecting it to be terrible today. It wasn't the case at all, so I'm very happy! Hopefully all those that had trouble can get to see Coldplay somehow!

Andy Milonakis
Andy Milonakis is 29, believe it or not! And the show is pretty hilarious (although kind of weird, when you think how old he is), but he has some pretty good sketches. My favorite has to be the one where Andy's John Stamos is stuck in a tree.

Lost
? the real john locke? is this a spoiler for 2nd season? grrr im pissed off, we dont see 2nd season until feburary... I think they were talking about John Locke, the philosopher. He inspired many of Thomas Jefferson's ideas in the Declaration of Independence. And going back to the first poster, I don't think there's a HUGE connection between the Locke of the show and the Locke of real life. However, one of the episodes in Season 1 was titled "Tabula Rasa," which is one of Locke's (the real one!) ideas. Tabula Rasa is the state of mind before it recieves impressions from experience. Definitely something interesting to think about! And last night episode was amazing...I wish I could talk about it more, but I don't want to spoil anything for our overseas friends. :) Although, I must say, next week's looks even better!

The Amazing Race- Family Edition
I agree with everything you've just said. And I have Phil's autograph!! It's one of my cherished items! It says, "To Shane, Glad to hear you're a fan of Race. Kind regards, Phil Keoghan. --The Philiminator"

Someone's selling Safety EP on Ebay
I have a copy of the Safety EP. Oh wait...that was the dream I had last week. Sorry, guys!

My Name Is Earl..
Actually, the family Amazing Race is REALLY cool. I was a little wary of the show, but it adds a lot to it. While I still prefer the regular TAR, this is definitely not a bad thing. And I haven't seen Earl, but I hear good things. I'll have to tape it next week!

Prison Break
Well, I think it's obvious that Michael gets into the sick bay to save the nurse because they showed him getting in there during a promo that was on during Arrested Development! So there I am, the whole show, seeing if he gets in there to rescue her, and I already know that it'll happen next episode. Sometimes previews get on my nerves... Although, really gotta say, very cool episode. I like the whole thing with the face on the wall to get out.

The Office--American version
Funny thing is...there are no Chili's in Scranton.

MARTIN PLANNING COUNTRY/HIP-HOP ALBUM
Honestly, it doesn't sound SO bad, but if they do it, they best go back to the Coldplay we all know and love. Although if worst comes to worst, couldn't they just put out a Passengers album of sorts? I'd definitely still buy it. Think of the possibilites! Coldplay just can't go wrong in my mind.

Show us your art!
@U2.com is having a cartoon contest, so I drew up something to enter. I know that there's a lot of people out there better than me, but I definitely have fun drawing, and I'm getting better, too. I'm really starting to see meaning in the saying practice makes perfect. Portrait drawing still annoys the heck out of me though! I hope you like the cartoon...I had fun doing it. Although, if you aren't a U2 fan, I don't think you'll get the joke. HINT: Think of a really stupid line in the song Miracle Drug! :D

The Office--American version
It's on at 9:30 on Tuesdays. Last night, NBC premiered the episode on its website, so it might still be up, although I'm not sure about that. If it's not there, you might just want to download it...it was hilarious!

What are you reading right now?
I'm reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova right now. The best comparision I can give is to The Da Vinci Code, though the two really aren't that similar. It's about a girl who finds some letters in her father's library that talk about Dracula. She asks him about it, and he starts to tell her the story about how he went on a search for Dracula 25 years before. I'm on page 300 and I'm really loving it so far.

The Office--American version
Does anyone watch this? The new season started tonight on NBC...and it was hilarious. Honestly, this show and Arrested Development are the only two good comedies on TV anymore. Although, it probably takes a certain person to appreciate both these shows, since they're mainly character-driven and have no laugh track. Both shows haven't gotten the best ratings, but I hope that can get turned around. Also, I find that I like the American version of The Office more than the British. I'll probably get killed for saying that, but I think because I'm from the US, I can relate to a lot more of the stuff that's going on. And I seriously have to say that I think Steve Carrell is the funniest person alive right now. (Not to take anything away from Ricky Gervais, who is a comedic genius in his own right.) Like I said, I hope that more people pay attention to this AMAZING comedy that is severely underappreciated.

Prison Break
Last night's episode was amazing...I think the show keeps getting better and better. It's a great suspense show that I can watch until 24 gets back on the air. Although I did think that bit with the warden last night was WAY too predictable. Oh well... :/

A letter from Michael Moore
you just can't go down there and volunteer. My sister is a Registered Nurse.. and they didn't allow her to go down there because she needed a certain amount of hours worth of emergency response trainning... so the simple idea of anyone just going down there to volunteer seems like a logical one.. but not at all possible. He may however helped in the second best way we know how.. and thats donating money to the Red Cross or donating clothes and food... something we should all do. Have you?? You have a good point. He very well could have donated money. And I definitely have, too. $20 altogether, which might not seem like a lot, but it is to a high school student like me. However, I think that if you're a celebrity and you want to go down there and volunteer, no one is going to stop you. I saw on the news that Harry Connick, Jr. and Macy Gray were both handing out food and clothes to the refugees in the Astrodome. It just gets me mad that he continually bags on the war in Iraq. I mean, he says he does this for the troops who "shouldn't be over there." But...the fact of the matter is, the troops ARE over there, and I don't think they appreciate someone saying that the freedom they are fighting for is unnecessary. I think that's the reason why I can't stand the guy so much...just because (to me, at least) it seems like he's contradicting the very thing he's trying to do.

Your Ipod Most 25 Played
Kind of a varied mix...mainly Coldplay and U2, though. Somehow I've listened to All at Sea 424 times, compared to Miracle Drug's 133. I guess I've never realized until now how much I love that song. 1. All at Sea--Jamie Cullum 2. Miracle Drug--U2 3. Somewhere Only We Know--Keane 4. Kite--U2 5. I Just Don't Think I'll Ever Get Over You--Colin Hay 6. Talk (Leaked Version)--Coldplay 7. Amsterdam--Coldplay 8. Dry Your Eyes--The Streets 9. Brothers and Sisters--Coldplay 10. Beautiful Day--U2 11. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own--U2 12. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)--U2 13. Life is for Living (Live 2003)--Coldplay 14. Take Me Out--Franz Ferdinand 15. Moses--Coldplay 16. Sunday Bloody Sunday--U2 17. Sunday Bloody Sunday--George W. Bush 18. In a Little While--U2 19. Shiver--Coldplay 20. Yellow--Coldplay 21. Electrical Storm--U2 22. Don't Panic--Coldplay 23. Swallowed in the Sea--Coldplay 24. Vertigo--U2 25. Pride (In the Name of Love)--U2

A letter from Michael Moore
I really can't stand this guy...and I'll probably be unpopular for it. I support George W., and I always have. Michael Moore just spreads propaganda! This letter, like his film Fahrenheit 9/11 (which I saw with an open mind on opening day last summer), makes many absurd charges, but provides ZERO facts to back them up. And if he thinks the federal government did such a bad job with Hurricane Katrina, instead of complaining about it, he should get his fat butt off his couch and get down there to volunteer. If he did that, then maybe, just maybe, I could earn a shred of respect for him. The last paragraph really gets on my nerves, too. Especially, "You did this to us, to the world, to the people of New Orleans. Please fix it." I can certainly say that if he ever comes out with another movie, I certainly will never pay a cent to go see it. He has no right to condemn Americans for choosing a certain person for president...it happened, he has to deal. And if it bothers him so much, why doesn't he just move to Canada for three years? Wouldn't bother me much!

Coldplay PSP Wallpapers!
Not sure if anyone here owns a PSP (PlayStationPortable), but if you do, here are two Coldplay wallpapers you can use. The new PSP update (2.0) allows you to use your uploaded photos as wallpapers, so feel free to use these if you like 'em! And if you don't have a PSP, well...sorry for wasting your time. :P

What does everyone think of the Fix You b sides?
I love The World Turned...such a catchy song! In my opinion, it's kind of Hardest Part-ish, but with some new stuff thrown in. Not so much of a fan of Pour Me (or Poor Me), though. It is starting to grow on me, though. Everytime I hear Chris' screams, I can't help but laugh.

Any great reccomendations?
Try anything by Aqualung! Here in the US, we have the release Strange and Beautiful. Really amazing...the best way I can describe his music is like a one-man version of Coldplay with some Thom Yorke thrown in. Basically, if you like Coldplay, you're pretty much guaranteed to like Aqualung. You can get some songs at http://www.aqualung.net. Also, if you're a fan of the Flaming Lips, I encourage you to check out the CD Songs for Dustmites by Steve Burns. Now when you find out who he actually is, I think you'll have a good laugh. But once you listen to the CD, you won't believe your ears. Trust me, it's VERY good. And you can listen to Mighty Little Man by Steve at: http://rapidshare.de/files/4410462/mightylittleman.mp3.html Enjoy!

Here's a Coldplay wallpaper I made...
Sure! It's pretty easy, actually. I have iTunes...so it's how I get my videos (not sure if you can make them any other way). Just screenshot your favorite parts of the video. To do that, just use the Prt Sc screen on your computer. Then, I just use Microsoft Paint to arrange the things the way I like them. For the Coldplay one, I put the four pics together, and saved them as one picture. Then, I tiled the Speed of Sound cover, and finally pasted the four pics over the tiled cover. And just like that, you have a wallpaper! The U2 one was a bit more difficult. :/ I had to draw the lines and make them even by hand. Also, to put the "U2//All Because of You," I had to copy and paste the characters I needed, since you have to buy the Clarendon font for $125. Then, I had to color the letters pixel by pixel white...NOT fun! It sounds complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so hard!

Here's a Coldplay wallpaper I made...
I figured I'd post the U2 one...I know this is a Coldplay forum, but I've seen enough people talk about U2 to know that it might be appreciated. Here you go!

The "Rarest" songs you have?
Does anyone possibly have Ode to Deodorant? If so, please let me know! A Coldplay song about deodorant...what could be better? Although, since it was released once on 25 cassettes, I'd bet it's pretty much impossible to get an .mp3 recording of it. If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it! Also...anyone have the full Safety EP or Blue Room EP? I'd GREATLY appreciate those as well!

Those are awesome! Thanks! :) Do you happen to have any of when Chris messed up The Hardest Part? Ah...that would be PRICELESS to have.
