Aw, that sounds fun! A homework topic you can actually enjoy doing :lol:! I fully understand about being nervous about speaking in front of people, though. But if it's a topic you enjoy, that helps make it easier. I like your list. You've got a few of their more well-known songs, and then one that might not be as well known to the class. Maybe if most of the notable songs you have are piano-based and slower you could pick a more guitar-oriented song to balance it out or something? And if it's not in there already, and you have one, maybe put whatever your favorite song of theirs is in there-that can help in the presentation and you can talk about why that song means so much to you and everything. Question: if ever someone is unable to see the week's video and misses out on the discussion for that week, but watches it at a later time after everyone else has moved on to the next clip, and wants to make their comment, can they just go ahead and do so, like in a brief summary or something, anyway? Or how would we like to handle that should it ever come up for some reason?

*Starts singing "God Put A Smile..." :D* Agreed on the suit thing. That's enough to perk up anyone's day. I've been listening to "Talk" a bit lately and it makes me think of my dad. Which aches a little, but which also makes me think of good memories with him, too. And I love how understanding the lyrics to that song are. It's things like that that prove why I love this band, they're very helpful and cathartic that way. I also found the clip online this morning of Chris joining in on an R.E.M. song that brought back good memories for me as well, so that pretty much made me happy right off the bat today :).

I've done that, waiting at the bus stop dancing around to a song of theirs :). And I'll be mouthing along with the words on the bus and tapping my feet, too. Haven't used it as a morning soundtrack for my household in general, but when I'm in the car with my mom, even though we're just going across town, sometimes I'll grab a Coldplay CD to play in the car and have her listen to some of their songs.

Good question. It'd be awesome if there could be some organized effort by artists, as well as fans, across the board to help try and stop this from happening. 'Cause it really is insane that promoters and the like think it's okay to try and scam people like this.

Keep in mind, too, Coldplay were supposed to play at a post-Oscars thing on Jimmy Kimmel's show, so that would explain them being in the area that night as it is, and as long as they were there, Chris probably figured it wouldn't hurt to go to the party with his wife, too. I don't think he's ever insinuated he'd never be out in public with her. He just doesn't want it to be a big deal when they are out and about and doesn't think the paparazzi should analyze it to death or hound them about it or whatever. Which it/they shouldn't. They're married, they're going to go out and do things many other married couples do (though on a bit fancier scale sometimes :p). It's lovely to see, sure, but it's not exactly something that requires the paparazzi to descend on them like wolves. Anywho... Ohhhhhhhh. I do. I really do :nod:. The song choice is perfect (I'm going to hear it in a totally different light now :p), the picture is a very appropriate choice given the image that popped in my head...I honestly don't know what I imagined you'd do with it. Yeah, that smile is just to die for. It's one of his best, if not his best, physical features. We interrupt the current discussion about bizarrely huge weddings, house hunting, and random fires for a moment of 'EEEEEIIIIII!" from me. It's one of my favorite R.E.M. songs. 2. It's one of my favorite songs by that band because first off, it's just flat out good, and second, 'cause it makes me think of my first boyfriend-we saw the movie this song was in together and it generally brings back happy memories of that time period for me. So Chris joining in on a song that brings back said memories kind of makes me get all gooey and mushy and insanely happy. I wish he'd been around for the whole song, but ah, well, what we get is lovely enough as it is. 3. Chris looks incredibly hot in the video. So there's that lovely proverbial icing on the cake. Seriously, I swear, just when I think I can't possibly love this guy any more than I already do, he has to go and do stuff like this. All right. Got that out of my system.
