1. Something that's never been done* :-)
2. I don't think we need to tell him anything lol. I'm sure they have ample personnel that will take care of any member if they're having any real vocal issues. I wouldn't expect him to sound like he did 15 years ago. I believe he can still deliver vocals but I don't think he particularly cares about being a "good" singer anymore, or at least during most performances. At some point if someone sits his ass down in a radio station and makes him play a song or two you'll see.
3. Chris: "I've toured the world ten times over and have 7 grammys." Kid: "Ehh..."
4. So how can we make sure Strawberry Swing gets played at every concert?
5. Does anyone have an all time favorite Viva chant? Like from a particular video or recording? I always liked this one
6. I think he can still bring it in when he needs to, but he isn't doing it nearly enough.
7. @Gideon_Mx has a very nice quality video of the album Mobile Link: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3dn195
8. Hopefully the pre-chorus gets sorted out when it's in their own production environment. I could barely hear Chris during it. If it's a music video award it's understandable. Adele doesn't really do anything spectacular in her videos.
9. Maybe my brain is a little bias but if you take away the train track this could be a still from Fix You's music video. Also would it be fair to assume someone is going to record this performance?
10. I think you could make one good but kind of depressing album. VLV to me always felt more happy than sad, in the end you escape death's cycle. This album would be about the futility of "this world's" lives and the greater picture for humans. Or at least in this album's world. O pt.2 AHFOD (embellish the fade out because it's a little staggering to switch to the next track) Moving To Mars Magic M.M.I.X.-ETIAW Midnight True Love Up In Flames Oceans O These aren't particularly songs I care for the most but I think they would make a good album together. The short of it would be a narrative almost with the story and the overarching theme coming together after Up In Flames where we see the world inside the narrative fall apart. O is the attonement with the higher beings / meaningless of life / possible suicide? Oceans would be the track more or less preparing for the worst in O.
11. this is the last song I heard from her on the radio Needless to say it's been some time since I've listened to the radio. I do recall Disturbia and We Found Love (because of the cover they did at BBC when they did acoustic MX songs). I mean he could pick worse, at least she maintains a flavor from her Barbadian accent. After listening to Prospekt's March, Don Quixote, Famous Old Painters, and Christmas Lights I THOUGHT that's what we were going to get.
12. "How can I be a virgin if I shagged ur mum" The intro to VLV (the album) and The Escapist are pure bliss, the best instrumental I've ever heard in my life. If I remember correctly they extended their contract after MX and it was originally a 5 album deal.
13. hmm where have I heard this before oh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=lY-uxPEmYhA;m=3;s=50
14. If they made anymore tracks like "Birds" they'd put Phoenix out of business. More seriously, I don't think even reciting AROBTTH note for note would have made this album any good. They need to have another Viva and reevaluate how they make music and who they make it with. My super secret dream is next album they take some instruments up to the rooftop of the bakery and record. Let in all the sounds and have some fun doing something new. Use new instruments like you did in Viva, figure things out.
15. This sums it up rather well. It's not even the first time someone has accused Coldplay of "borrowing" ideas. Let the BMTH fans say whatever they want, it doesn't matter.
16. I wouldn't mind getting a fresh live recording of Live Forever again.
17. Either way I reccomend you keep it private. Don't talk about it on the forum either, you never know who wants that kind of info and what they would do with it.
18. If you want to prove me wrong go ahead. The burden of proof is on you.
19. I'd love to get the opinion of anyone outside of the US on this. Does your country do this self deprecating humor junk all the time? I feel like everyone in the US is just using the current spike in racial discussion to churn out lame content. SNL would have never made this video 5 years ago but now they can do it and get away with some really crappy jokes and stereotypes.
20. Chris isn't the one to do it. Maybe if he made Jonny mad enough.
21. This may be the only time I'm happy we have new Chris. Old Chris may have said something a bit less kind lol.
22. Uh just to clear it up Xylobands were thought up by Jason Regler after, if I recall this correctly, seeing Coldplay on the Twisted Logic tour. He then created and got in touch with them. Since then Xylobands have become a product that anyone can purchase and use. Pixmob just appears to be a different company.
