  1. Coldplay or Radiohead? If you mean Coldplay then please tell me where I can find an artist that made more of Coldplay pre 2011
  2. See You Soon on Live 03 is so good.
  3. A lot of TV performances are tossed together for a lot of reasons. If you read Roadie I believe Matt spends a page or two talking about why. If I remember it's usually because you aren't given the time or space to set up so instead of having no organ or a really bad organ you just have a tracked organ.
  4. Over the years I've tried to hone my vocal cords to match Chris's but anything over middle G# escapes me. I also think he's the reason I can sing in falsetto as well.
  5. Wow, what a treat. I personally like Spies as it is but this definitely feels like it could have been on Brothers & Sisters. It has a similar vocal style to Only Superstition and parts of Brothers & Sisters.
  6. Yeah I was joking. People are implying that their new sound is attracting all the new fans when a group of kids who were 3 when the album came out did something like this.
  7. I think they'll do something. They're pretty liberal when it comes to doing covers.
  8. Some of you might know that I'm not a huge fan of the new albums, but I had a funny experience today. I just got out of an interview which I was very pleased with (as were they as I got the call for the position about an hour after getting home) and got to my car in the parking lot. I was feeling pretty good and for some reason my gut instinct was to queue up Birds and Army of One. I honestly have no idea where it came from but it felt right. AHFOD is, if anything, the happiest album they've ever made.
  9. Up With the Birds
  10. Well Clocks is easily my least favorite song off of AROBTTH (excluding the last two minutes or so, those are pretty good) so maybe he's onto something LOL.
  11. Of all the songs to add a backing track Clocks is one I never would have guessed, especially when he can sing Shiver totally fine. I can't see why clocks gives him any difficulty. I'm too lazy to look at the evidence but it's not the first time. Viva La Vida had a backing track of studio Chris singing the chorus while Chris sang along during the vlv era. I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason why they're doing what they're doing, I don't think they're trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes.
  12. Fix You is the quintessential closer for them. Amsterdam is my favorite song of all time but Fix You closes a concert way better. Up&Up is pretty good at it too but the verses can be kind of lame.
  13. Realistic tier: VH Lost! Lovers Probably at one point tier: LiT ii Strawberry Swing Death Will Never Conquer Glass of Water Postcards Lost? They played what? tier: Cemeteries 42 For the small price of $1,000,000,000 tier: Death and All His Friends Yes Prospekt's/Poppy Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground Rainy Day the rest of the VLV era
  14. If it isn't requested, I think Strawberry Swing will find its way in at some point.
  15. If they continued to use things like the concrete and graffiti, as the album is supposed to be something like that, throughout the album maybe. HLH, CB, MM, ETIAW are really the only tracks that have any ties to each other and it's very vauge. The comics that support MX help but they were created after the album so it's not like you can say what inspired the other. I do remember them saying that MX was at some point related to a movie idea but it fell through. If you solely judge MX for the album's content it's incredibly hard to say what the concept is if any does exist. After pulling in the comics, interviews, and videos it becomes clearer but I don't think HLH does a good job on it's own to introduce the album conceptually or thematically.
  16. Very nice. I love seeing these sets. During VLV I probably watched every Coldplay related video YouTube had. Crazy to see that this was uploaded in 2011, makes me wonder if I've missed anything else in the last 5 years.
  17. I have been summoned MX/HLH MX is nice but it's not much as a song. I can't ever see myself JUST listening to MX. HLH doesn't do much to "open" MX (album).
  18. I'll take it. It wasn't perfect but it was nice to hear.
  19. dont even tell me they're gonna play it EDIT: Don't Panic is ok too, for a second I thought Spanish Rain was about to come out
  20. Don't, apparently they didn't actually play it. I should be used to being disappointed by now but there's always room for more.
  21. A representation of me after seeing tonight's request.
  22. I'd be so down for some Chris Martin Pro Skater
