Top 5 about whatever
 Nick  Ohh gosh I would love to meet them! That would be the coolest thing ever. I have yet to see them live...I cant wait till they come back here. I couldn't go last time they were here because I was in Tasmania, but I heard it was fantasic. You're really lucky. :D I only talked to Nick for a little while. I asked him about how he ended up in LA and how he met Peter and Robert. He said he just went to an audition, and then he started meeting them by coincidence in clubs and stuff. Then they asked him to be in the band! I got a picture of me with Peter  . I'd post it if I had a scanner. I shook his hand and told him how great the gig was, and that was all. It was by far the best day of my life. Just being able to meet some of my idols and shake their hands and tell them how great they are was just an absolute joy.

Top 5 about whatever
well, I don't remember too much about what I was talking about, because I was pretty drunk at the time  we went to see them at a University where my friends are studying (Norwich UEA). after we left the actual gig, we went to the student union bar. then we left the bar and headed back to my friends' apartment, and we just saw them hanging around outside their tour bus. so we went over and started talking to them. Peter (guitarist) and Nick (drummer) were pretty quiet and didn't say a lot. but we got into a pretty good conversation with Robert. I remember talking to him about their next album, the current state of the music industry, and I told him about my band. they are without doubt the coolest guys I've ever met. So chilled out and laidback.

Star Wars Episode III
that probably would've been Christopher Lee's character at the end when I first saw the film, I thought "fuck! we're going to see Yoda fight someone, this should be good!" and it turned out to be the one of the most pathetic fight scenes ever. I expected so much more from supposedly "Master" Yoda. oh dear oh dear

Star Wars Episode III
Well, I thought Episode 1 was pretty good, although not as good as any of the original trilogy. Liam Neeson was the best thing in that film I think. Episode 2 was terrible. It was so incredibly boring. Even though it had Ewan McGregor, Samuel L. Jackson and Christopher Lee, i thought it had little impact on the overall plot of Star Wars. Hopefully Episode 3 will be something special, as there's quite a lot of ground to cover between Episodes 2 and 4. The whole story with Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader SHOULD be pretty intriguing, although I still have my doubts. Claim to fame: my brother is old friends with the cousin of Ray Parke, the guy who played Darth Maul in Episode 1. True story.

The Cooper Temple Clause - Let's Kill Music We dare you to mean a single word you say We dare you to mean a single word you say Feel free if you've time to try to change our minds Feel free if you've time to try to change our minds You might wanna duck before you lose your head It seems we're the ones who've got the guts to bleed It's not number one who will come out alive It's the freak in the corner with his eyes on fire Let's kill music Before it kill us all

I shouldn't be allowed to have credit/debit cards
I'm alright with debit cards, because I know that everything I buy will be paid for immediately, so I'm a little more responsible I will never ever EVER touch a credit card EVER. They're a very bad idea unless you know you will definitely be able to pay off the bill, otherwise you will be be hit with one fucking huge debt

Oasis - D'You Know What I Mean? Step off the train all alone at dawn Back into the hole where I was born The sun in the sky never raised an eye to me There's blood on the trax and it must be mine Fool on the hill and I feel fine Don't look back cos you know what you might see Look into the wall of my mind's eye I think I know but I don't know why The questions are the answers you might need Coming in a mess going out in style I ain't good looking but I'm someone's child No-one can give me the air that's mine to breathe I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder he asked me why His people won't fly through the storm I said 'Hey listen up man, They don't even know you're born' All my people right here right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah I don't really care for what you believe So open up your fist or you won't recieve The thoughts and words of every man you'll meet Get up off the floor and believe in life No-one's ever gonna ever ask you twice So get on the bus and bring it on home to me I met my maker I made him cry And on my shoulder he asked me why His people won't fly through the storm I said 'Hey listen up man, They don't even know you're born' All my people right here right now D'you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah

anyone read any good books lately?
The last book I read was Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell, and I can honestly say without hesitation that this is the best book I've ever read. Lord Of The Flies by William Golding is a good'un as well.

Lyrics
The White Stripes - The Hardest Button To Button We started living in an old house My ma gave birth and we were checking it out It was a baby boy so we bought him a toy It was a ray gun and it was nineteen eighty one We named him baby, he had a tooth ache He started crying, it sounded like an earthquake It didn't last long because I stopped it I grabbed a rag doll and stuck some little pins in it Now we're a family, and we're alright now We've got money and little place to fight now We don't know you and we don't owe you But if you see us around I've got something else to show you Well, it's easy when you don't know better You think it's sleazy to put it in a short letter? We keep warm but there's just something wrong when you Just feel that you're the hardest little button to button I had opinions that didn't matter I had a brain that felt like pancake batter I've got a back yard with nothing in it Except a stick, a dog, and a box with something in it The hardest button to button The hardest button to button

tube amps?
Tube amps (or 'valve amps' as we call them in the UK) were all the music industry had to work with originally. They work by producing subtle levels of natural harmonic distortion which is very pleasing to the ear. This gives an apparently "warm" sound. After some time, people discovered that the more you saturate the tubes (by turning up the pre-gain) that the sound would gradually distort. Pretty much every famous band uses Tube amps. 90% of those 6-foot tall Marshall stacks are tube amps. 90% of the silverfaced Fender combos are tube amps. Mesa Boogie amps are tube amps. They are VERY LOUD, and the sound quality is excellent. The downside with these amps is that they needed strict maintainance. Tubes frequently need replacing, and the amp needs servicing every so often. So amp designers came up with solid-state amps. These amps use transistors instead of tubes, and so they need hardly any maintenance. However, the overall sound is distinctly lower in quality as the harmonic overtones they produce are artificial, and the whole tone sounds a lot "colder". Solid state amps also tend to lose their "presence" in a performance more easily. When you buy your first amp, chances are it will be solid state. Hybrid amps are a relatively new technology. There's no single description of how they work because every model is different, but the Marshall AVT2000 series has a single tube in the pre-amp section, and the power amp is solid state. This effectively warms up the signal before it is processed. This results in a sound much nicer than solid state amps, but not quite as good as tube amps. Tube amps are by far the best if you can afford to buy them and maintain them. If not, go for a hybrid, and failing that look for a very good solid state. For bass, you can easily get a superb sound with a solid state amp. As always, a tube amp will do wonders, but it's not quite as much of an issue as it is with guitar amps. and well done if you read all of that.
