I thought the idea of the band making a soundtrack to a movie they were writing was pretty interesting.I always had this thought of coldplay or chris making a movie score for a movie.The soundtrack idea sounded very intriguing. Do you think they will come back to this idea down the road?It seems from what Guy was saying that they were quite a ways into the idea with creating characters and such.Me personally, I can see them down the road going back to it an revamping the idea.Maybe that's why songs like Wedding Bells and the ones we saw on the South Bank show didnt end up on the album.Chris said that Wedding Bells was the beginning of a story type of thing.I think it was for the movie soundtrack idea.Maybe one day they will make the movie.

Mylo Xyloto is shaping up to be what I thought Viva La Vida was going to be in terms of experimentation.When I heard Brian Eno was going to produce Viva I expected weird sonic sounds and soudscapes.While all that is there in Viva,different intruments,strings,lyrically,sounds,etc. Viva in my opinon is a fine tuned Coldplay not going too drastic in the experimentation but at the same time it was different for them as artist. I think its safe to say that Mylo Xyloto will be their album where they experiement a little more.With weird sounds and what not from what we have heard already. From the first time I heard ETIAW,I expected something different and weird.I figure it was the best way to come into this album that way I wouldnt be caught off guard too much. I guess some people here have their expectations very high when it comes to Coldplay.As it should be and I know I do too.I want everyone to like Coldplay.But know that that will not be the case.I think(my opinion) that if you cant see that Coldplay are artists and want to grow and try different things musically to stay hungry and not get bored then you are just setting yourself up for dissapointment.At this stage in their career something different should be expected from Coldplay.We should try to grow with the band. But at the end of the day everyone's a critic and has their opinions and are entiteld to them.But thats just what I think.

I like the fact that Chris dresses how he doesnt care.But you think he would dress up a little bit for the occassion.

Thats a whole month and then some before the album is to be released!!Pretty cool.So hopefully we get the tracklist soon!

I was on billboard looking at some of the upcoming releases and I noticed that Drake will release his next album(which is highly anticipated in the hip hop community) on Oct 24th. My question is do you think Drake will be a threat to Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto being number 1 in the US? I for one dont really care for Drake and think he's one dimentional.But hes well liked among the hip hip community.I beleive Coldplay will outsell him but know he is a fomidable opponent.Some numbers based on last album sales. Coldplay sold 720,000 copies in its first week in the US and Drake's album sold 447,000 in its first week of US sales.Maybe I just answered my own question.

Its one of those songs you can definitly see that the boys love to play live.All four of them are so into the song and moving around.By that alone I feel confident that it will be on the album.Plus its very guitary and Jonny is all over it.And Chris is very big on letting Jonny have his moment and this song is one of them.Thats just what I think.

I just love the fact that MYLO XYLOTO has been trending on twitter all day.

Im still holding out for it to appear and be released in some form.It seemed like the song kept popping up.South Bank,Keynote,and at Boogaloo.I would think that Chris obviously likes the song for him to keep playing it.I think it would be a shame and a waste for the song not to have been finished and released in some way.I love the melodies and the lyrics.The picture Chris is painting is very visual and a sensual story and point of view.From the first time I heard it on South Bank I was just drawn to the song.Maybe they will throw us for a loop and surprise us.One can hope.

Does anyone think that since they have 2 weeks left to finish the album(now approximately 1 week now) that we will get a tracklist within that time frame?Or maybe around their Itunes festival show?

...some songs in the structure of songs like Glass Of Water,Death And All His Friends,Christmas Lights,and even 42.Although I dont know very much about song structure it seemed like they were messing with the whole time signature thing.And I really like what they have done with Glass Of Water and Death And All His Friends.Some of the new songs seem to have a more pop beat to them.Although Moving To Mars is a little different.I guess I was expecting a drastic change.Maybe there is one or two songs like that.Nonetheless I still love the new songs!!

My stream is fine.Has been smooth from Yellow on!!
