The World Of Music

Imo, this man is one of the best bassists ever. Oasis' bass lines used to be so boring, but then he joined the band in 1999, and they released standing on the shoulders of giants in 2000, and when you listen to this album you can notice how his bass lines are way cooler than Guigsy's boring lines. (just listen to go let it out or who feels love and you'll see what i'm talking about) Also, I was really surprised when i listened to familiar to millions (the live album) for the first time, cos he modified some old oasis bass lines and they were sounding way cooler. And oh, where's the good old oasis thread? And dania? i miss her, she used to post there a lot.

Okay, so you all have your religions and you're happy with em cos you want to bang the hot musicians. Unfortunately I dont want to bang nick, fab or guy, (not so sure about fab though. haha jk) and i needed a purrv religion sooo.... here it is: THE AVRILISM Ta-da Okay, avril cant make good songs like coldplay, she isnt half as cool as the strokes, in fact... she's a poser and she sucks. ehhh, just wondering what you guys think about ... Personally , I use to listen to it a lot... but now .. blah ... its just not worth it .. before you use to have "skills" in order to rap .. but now any black/fat/white guy thinks he can rap ... ohh well.. guess its just old school stuff for me :/

as anyone seen or heard the new song from Alanis Morissette called " Everything " i personly think its a good song and the video is typical of alanis's style ( hair cut job ) for those who have seen it ! im not a big fan of hers but i must say she as made some rather songs including a live cover version of Radioheads Fake Plastic Trees and and also Soundgardens " Black ol Sun " . the new single "everything " is taken from her forth comming cd " So Called Chaos " . what are your thoughts any decent feedback would be nice . thanks guys Chris HTTT

Hmm what else...their first (hit) single was called Vampire Racecourse, I don't know if they are big in the UK or not but they are here. Aussie pride, yeah! :) Girlstarrrr you have to agree! :P

I'm sorry you lot (especially you Mimi! :kiss:) - but I had to make a pro-Darkness thread :P Okay, they may not be the greatest band in the world, or anything close to that actually. They may not be goodlooking, Justin voice may be annoying at times and they're not exactly pure talent... But they do make me laugh! :P And their songs just make me wanna dance. They're catchy and they're fun to sing along to :D I know I'm gonna hate some hate mail cos of this :sneaky:

i think i'll start one of my own. :smug: i'm calling it Burtonism. it is the worship of the very best bass player ever in the whole world--Cliff Burton. now some people say it was Lemmy from Motorhead. no he was great but he used a pick and i consider that cheating. Cliff played better than him, and with his fingers. and also i admire him sooooo much as a person. cant even list all the reasons why. well heres a pic of him. feast your eyes. :P and heres another and another and one more ^^^doesn't he look so sweet??? and so happy too :)

the radio.....it only plays the really really mainstream stuff, over and over again. i feel sad for the people who want to hear more than the top 40. that includes myself tho i dont feel too bad for me....i'm doin pretty good :P

Anyone else heard this, or OF this? i'll post a link in the other bands mp3 section if anyone wants it. i just thought there's BOUND to be other beatles fans..... it's Jay-Z and DJ Danger Mouse who have remixed it.... I think there's a few good parts in it...and it's interesting to hear what they've done with it...but it's nothing at all compared to the original. Plus It's Rap ;)

Well that's who I am listening to right now. I'm not sure if you lot have heard of her, she is an Australian singer. She is 19, her album 'Innocent Eyes' stayed at number 1 position for 29 weeks in Australia. She too, like Coldplay, has a piano driven style of music, which is why I love her. Her second album will be out later this year as she is still recovering from cancer, that she was diagnosed with mis last year, so couldn't work for a good 7-8 months.
