HI guys, I was listening to First Steps and I started playing it on piano trying to see what to play and I found most of them. For the intro, your left hand is playing a F octave. One F is below middle C, and one F is above middle C. Then you move up to a G octave. Ten you right hand plays the next octaves up. Like this: RH:---------------------------F, E, D, C, E, C, E (Those are all octaves) LH: F(Octave) G(Octave) There are a lot more notes for the left hand but I couldnt figure them out. And right hand just goes down and then back up. You start at F and go down one note to E and then down to D and then down to C. Now you go back up to the E and then down to …

Since I couldn't find any tabs or chords of St Stephan, I tried to figure it out myself. Unfortunatelly it didn't work out that well. Nonetheless, I post my findings so maybe others can fill it up or correct it. ST STEPHAN Note: notes between brackets are played together. Note2: C-chord is always 2nd inversion (gce). Intro RG: -e-e-(ge)-d-(gc)-(gbd)- LH: --------c---------------g--- RG: -e-e-(ge)-d-(gc)-(gce)- LH: --------g---------------c--- RG: -e-e-(ge)-d-(gc)-(gbd)- LH: --------c---------------g--- RG: -(gc)--(gc)-(gd)--(gd)-(ge)- LH: ---------------------------------- Verse C -------------------Am-G See a bird form a silver G---------…

I am planning to buy a new electric guitar sometime soon. Anyone have any suggestions? I have been looking at the '72 Thinline Telecaster, in natural maple, like Jonny's. Does anyone have a review of this?

hey, I have finished playing Bloodless Revolution (the Demo) by ear. I just started transcribing it. the right hand is very hard to hear sometimes because Chris just vamped (what i can neither do nor play by ear). here is the first part (until the little solo). the rest will coming very soon. have fun. I wanted to save some space because this notebooks are so expensive, so ive just written keywords right beneath the notes to indicate the point in the song (you need to click on "full size" (bottom right of photo) to get a usable size)

I'm putting this thread here but I'm sure it's in the wrong section... Can a mod move it to the right place? anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows what the black "Viva la Vida"/"Coldplay" guitar picks are used for? A roadie handed me three of them at the end of the concert last night, and while the boys clearly don't use them (they're pretty flimsy), they've definitely been used... They look like this:

Hey guys! I just recorded this cover of a great Radiohead tune, thought some of you might enjoy it. I know of course this is a Coldplay forum, but I think we all have a healthy appreciation for Radiohead as well, don't we? Feel free to post your opinions, I'd really like to know what you think of it. [ame= ] [/ame]

Hey there I was feeling musical today and decided to record a piano version of Life is for Living I'd appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on it please :) It was really hard to sing, so my voice got quite shaky towards the end, but i feel better on knowing that Chris had the same problem at Glasto' 2002 :P [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mnJdc23k-k]YouTube - Life is for Living (Coldplay Cover)[/ame] Thanks :)

So, my band just had its final gig, and I thought I would post some videos from the show. The song Clear definitely has a Coldplay flair. So, up to 2006/2007, Chris (not so often Jonny) used Martin Guitars. 2007/2008 (Viva La Vida time) he started using Gibson Blues Kings. But my qustion now is: How the heck are they recorded/picked up?!?! Piezo Pickups under the bridge, piezo pickups glued onto the wood (inside/outside), magnetic pickups in the hole, microphones inside, whatever? however, i want to get a new guitar, this time it should be an acoustic guitar. my FIRST acoustic one. i'm mainly playing coldplay, so: what form would be good? what pickup should be in there? should i get a cheap one (100- 200€) or a little more expensive one? (up to 500€). (i want to use steel strings by the w…

Hi everyone! My two friends an I are attempting to make a LIT II cover, and one of the friends has no musical experience. We decided to give her the drums to play, since she isn't the greatest singer (her own words) and drums are easier to learn than guitar or bass. I have African bongo type drums for the beginning and a regular drum set for the main part, but can anyone give me a simple, easy to read tab or other way to read the music for drums? By hte way i can read sheet music so i could translate it to her if needed. Thanks in advance :D

So I went and watched and listened to a sound check of LiT ii played, and I picked out the following chords for the background noise/synth sound played by Jonny on his electric. I'll post the youtube video below as well as chords played by Chris from ultimate-guitar.com. Thanks for reading! If you like my tabs, make a request to me by PM or check out my forum in my sig and join. The chords below are played tremolo picking (I used all down picks) and played with some heavy reverb and delay, most likely generated by Jonny's rack gear. e|-------------12--12------ B|-14--15--10--10---9--10-- G|-13--14---9---9---9---9-- D|-11--12---7-----------7-- A|--------------------…

Question about Politik Bridge. (Piano) I know that there's left hand (F,G#), right hand the same, then (F,A#) for both hands, then (F,C) for both hands, but i'm wondering what the actual chords are. Basically, i'm missing a note from the chords i'm playing. I just need the bridge chords and i'll be set. Cheers.
