Let's face it, it's the one we all cover... Sorry if this has been posted before, I did search but I didn't want to go through 12 pages.

Can anyone Identify the large (4x12) amp Behind Johnny in this photo: It looks like it could be a third Fender Hotrod (albeit a 4x12 instead of 2x12's like his other 2). It also kind of looks like some Marshall models, but I can't see a head, so if he's running one through it it appears to be hidden. Anyone know?

Does anybody have some tips for improving your vocals? When it comes to singing i'm absolutely dreadful, though I'd really like to implement vocals into my music. I've been trying to play VLV on my violin, somewhat like this guy: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsUAxG6c3Ws]YouTube - Viva La Vida - Coldplay - Violin cover[/ame] (yeah he is really good!) But I've been really confused. Is that backing part (the one actually played by strings in the very beginning of the song) in a different key than the vocals? It doesn't sound right in A flat minor! I can start the vocal part on C sharp and it sounds good, but it also sounds right starting on F sharp! I have no idea what i'm doing.

hey guys, I've been trying to figure out how to get a band together for a while now and have no idea...:dizzy2: Then I thought of this forum so I've come here hoping you guys can give me some tips/advice. Has anyone formed a band where peoples had different musical tastes and wanted to play different things? Did it work out? BTW, I'm the girl who had the rattling guitar; the ruddy thing still rattles.:laugh3:

I just got into modern fingerstyle techniques (two handed slaps) and I wanted to buy a cheap guitar that I could beat up while I learn how to play. I found a 40 dollar pawn shop Lark (supposedly an old sub-manufacturer of Kay). The tailpiece is adjustable as is the neck. Now the string height is way high, and if I set it any lower, I get an undesirable buzz on the open D and G strings to the point where it is unplayable. The neck's got a bit of back bow which I think causes the buzzing, so I figured if I loosened the truss rod a bit, I could lower the tailpiece. And THEN I could make this cheap guitar be decent for its money. One problem I ran into though. The tru…

I'm creating sheetbooks for Coldplay with good transcriptions and note details. I don't wan't to do like the official books are, made easier to play for all people. I make them as best as possible, not easier to play. The Following books that I'm working on are: Parachutes PVG, A Rush Of Blood To The Head PVG, X&Y PVG, Viva La Vida PVG, Live 2003 PVG. Hey guys, quite proficient with the acoustic guitar now which is great, barre chords locked down, finger picking established and it takes quite a short time to learn songs, at least relative to when i started those months ago.
