And the reason I brought up Coldplay being pop (didn't say anything about their popularity, but yes, they are popular), is that you were all saying how much you hate pop and that it sucks.. But yet you love Coldplay.

 

Saying that punk and emo is the same is like.. Saying that Coldplay and Backstreet Boys are the same.

 

Besides, there's more to punk than you see on MTV.

the only punk rock band i like is All-American Rejects. The other all i hate. because all the others songs sound exactly alike. but there is something diff. bout AAR. But i like other rock. like P.O.D.

the lyrics are so meaningless with punk, all it is is about some stupid girl they met at some crappy end of year disco as they put it! For real meaningful love songs look at green eyes- it has so much depth to it: honey you are a rock, upon which i fall..... chris uses simalies and metaphors which punk bands dont seem capable of managing. Amen!

i am sick to death of crappy punk bands who cannot play the guitar thinking they are kewl. They are everywhere. for instance avril lavine, she cant sing. mayby it is just my circumstances. what are you as big coldplay fans on this one?

The problem is, some of these artists aren't even punk rock, they're pop/punk, which is different. 'Specially like Avril and Simple Plan and Good Charlotte
