THE **I LOVE HARRY POTTER** THREAD

Featured Replies

interesting yet strangely unsettling news. Apparently Dan Radcliffe is going nude for the silver doe scene, and when before Ron destroys the horcrux, it won't be depict him as lowly and unimportant as in the book, but will show Harry and Hermione embracing and kissing among other various nightmarish images. what are y'alls thoughts on this?

I think it's better if Ron wasn't shown as weak as he in the book, i actually hated that, he was my favorite character and i was disappointed when i read that part.

i can't wait for the last 2 movies

I heard about this. I don't recall him being completely nude when he jumped into the water to get the sword, and also when "Harry and Hermione" kiss, it was sort of just swirling vapors with their heads, not showing anything.

Unfortunately, as a big Ron/Rupert Grint fan, I'm hoping all the nakedness doesn't take attention away from the true importance of the scene- Ron's most important scene.

I also read that they have added an "intimate" scene between Harry and Hermione after Ron leaves. Why are they still pushing Harry-Hermione onto us? For the movie goers who don't read the books, it'll be like out of left field when Ron and Hermione get together at the end.

i agree. the ron/hermoine thing in the end will be way too confusing for anyone who hasn't read the book... unless they plan on not getting those two together

In my opinion, the scene in the book was necessary to prove that Ron is more than what people think he is. Obviously he will be upset over the fact that the love of his life is kissing his best friend. But the point of it was that he was completely UNweak in the fact that he got over it and stabbed that horcrux to death! I think it's an amazing scene, and you can't understand how strong he was unless you understand how weak he started out. Just my 2 cents.

I've read they've already filmed "the kiss". ;)

oh god i know. i'm not very happy about that. the people who are hardcore obnoxious harry/hermioneshippers who never read the books are going to freak out. and that has the potential to either a.) take away from the real importance of the scene or b.) confuse people (especially those whom i mentioned before^) when ron and hermione kiss later. :dozey:

on a random note... don't know if anybody has posted this yet:

^thanks for posting that! I haven't been checking mugglenet often enough and that footage is really cool. The trailer looks a LOT better in high quality than it did in the leaked vid.

Also... ^ epic sig :P

Q: at first I thought she was wearing red gloves, but does Emma/Hermione have blood on her hands in that one shot?

:edit: NM, I found a screencap. definitely blood.

I guess it came off when she was helping with Ron's splinch wounds, and now she's putting up protective charms.

i'm pretty sure its when they apparate back from the ministry and ron splinches. there shes probably putting up all the anti-muggle enchantments and whatnot.

Dan, Rupert, and Tom reveal what they listen to before shooting Potter scenes

radiohead.jpg MTV has released another article from their recent visit to the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This time we learn about Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton's musical tastes for filming:

"Lots and lots of Radiohead. Loads of stuff. I often come back to stuff like Radiohead and Hope of the States for those harder scenes."

Based on recent, early morning experience, co-star Tom Felton confirmed Radcliffe's pre-shoot music obsession. "Daniel loves it in the makeup room," Felton said. "He thumps it out — we're talking 6 in the morning — some '60s ska/punk band. It's like, 'All right, man!' He loves it."

Harry Potter was my first proper obsession (before Coldplay, hehe). I still love it. Can't wait for Deathly Hallows films. :D

Dan Rad has good taste in music. :P Whoop to Radiohead appreciation! And Tom Felton listening to Jack Johnson, somehow didn't see that haha. I love that chilled Hawaiian dude.

Totally agree. I got really sick of the H/Hr pushing the movie makers did. It just seemed so silly because it was as clear as day JKR's intentions with Ron and Hermione's relationship. You didn't exactly have to read between the lines. It made me feel as if the HP movie makers felt Dan and Emma had more chemistry/the H/Hr pairing was more of a crowd pleaser and therefore would act on it. I thought that was over now what with Ron/Hermione finally going canon in DH. It's just so stupid. Also the way they sometimes display Ron as overly weak gets on my nerves. Ron has his finest hour in DH and I hope they do it justice.

At least Hermione's clothes look cool

They were dressed as people from the ministry, remember?

Long live Harry Potter! (Uhm, the books I mean. Don't like the actual character that much.)
